  1. I'm OK with him not looking sharp right now. I'd rather him be getting confused now than during the season. Gase's offense was very scripted and didn't leave a lot of room to read or adjust. And if our defense is as good as we all feel it can be, getting reps against it can only help his development by helping show his gaps in skill and help fix them.
  2. Nothing says loving like a little bit of gummin.
  3. Or maybe we’re seriously disturbed by a man lying on the field in obvious distress and no one reacts. So when you ask yourself why they didnt react, its pretty fugging obvious its because this sport allows it so often nobody pays attention when it happens. Im very happy they saved his life and his wife and kids didn’t lose him. Im also disturbed by the fact players falling over is seen as a joke and not potentially serious.
  4. Seconds matter in response time for life threatening incidents. He died on the field. If they hadnt been able to revive him, how much could those 15 seconds have mattered. Constant flopping prevents quick reaction by medical personnel to actual injuries because they think players are going to pop right back up just like they do 99.9% of the time. It’s the boy who cried wolf on the pitch.
  5. I mean I know we could always sign someone off the street but not right after we put him there.
  6. Denver fans are going to learn it, live it, love it. It's all they're gonna get.
  7. Teddy was making some throws in training camp for us too. Game day was a completely different story. That completion % doesnt mean anything when you cant move the chains.
  8. Everyone should also take the next opportunity to make sure they're an organ donor as well.
  9. Teddy had the chance to go for it and own up to what he said. Instead he just played it safe. No surprise there.
  10. One of the reasons I have been an organ donor since I was 18 and have encouraged everyone in my family to be one as well, even with their kids should something happen. The body is just a shell and I can't think of anything better than giving another person a chance at life.
  11. At first I thought he kind of looks like Nick Jonas but he looks a lot more like his brother Joe.
  12. What happened to Philly wouldn't have happened to Smitty. Taliban would still be looking for his arms after Smitty ripped them off and beat him with them.
  13. And that would be concerning to me given their track record. Part of growth is challenging yourself and Marty and Ron never seemed to do that for each other.
  14. He was in the playoff hunt in one of the worst divisions football has seen. I dont think he wanted to win the division, he just needed it to look like he was trying. They needed a QB and weren't going to get it going 1 and done in the playoffs. Too bad Pederson out tanked him or they could very likely have gotten Fields. Theres really no other explanation for why you would start Haskins, bench him when the game is out of reach, then cut him if you were actually trying to make the playoffs. Even the most ignorant football fan knew Haskins had no business starting that game.
  15. That's about 2.2 mil now right.
  16. I never thought either were great, but they both had their strengths. Hurney could hit in the first. Its damn near all he could do. His biggest flaw was his lack of vision for the franchise. Nippleshorts could rock a budget and find those FA bargains to fill the team. His ego left a lot of damage in its wake. I dont know where Fitts will land but I can at least see some of the team building.
  17. Depends on the asking price, but generally I'd say no. Aside from his legal issues, the cost for such a move would likely be ridiculous, especially not knowing when and if he can play any time soon. Plus I dont think the Texans would be willing to trade him to anyone right now because the offers would probably be similar to what we gave the jets.
  18. What were they gonna say? Hey Marty, you're a fugging idiot. These guys have to athletic ability of Michael J. Fox doing gymnastics. They were probably saying what they had to to keep their jobs.
  19. Here's the difference as I see it. Hurney couldn't evaluate talent or fit. Sure he hit in the first but LBs and RBs have a higher success rating than DT or CB. Gross was the Sewell of his draft and Cam was the highest ceiling QB of his. Those were the safer picks. Move past the 1st into the 2nd-4th and dear God it got bad. And of the guys he drafted that did make it, they seemed to have to have a wide variety of personality and athletic ability. It just didnt feel like team building was done with vision. Enter the great Nippleshorts and his ego ran the show. He could manage the books and find some bargain basement deals on the free agent wire but his love of hog mollies was his ultimate downfall. Every position can't be a hog Mollie. He also lacked the personal interaction skills that make the franchise a desirable place for free agents. He was better than Hurney but so is dropping a rancid air biscuit in a plane when no one can figure out it was you. Now we have Fitts and he seems to be building a team identity and recognizes needs. This wasnt going to be a one year rebuild after the team was gutted and I think his approach was to try and fill as many gaps as possible and make the sum of the parts of the team more than just a single position, even at the QB spot. Time will tell whether or not drafting Fields was the right move for the franchise or not. Maybe Darnold ends up being good maybe not. Either way, being able to look at this draft and offseason (though I'm not a fan of the price of the Irving and Elfein signings), at least some sort of plan is recognizable rather than the previous regimes' plans of Hog Mollie U and Lawn Dart Roulette.
  20. It's less scary than being led into the future by Hurney or Nipplrshorts.
