  1. I think he needs to move away from Reid if he wants to remove the question marks surrounding his play calling abilities. It's no secret Reid is heavily involved in that offense. If he replicates that success elsewhere it would go a long way to cementing his abilities as an OC.
  2. It was more a nod to how the players rallied around him in light of everything that was going on. To me that's something special in a coach. Again, no slight to Tabor, just a quality I really liked.
  3. Other than the loss of coin in a matter of seconds, that can be said about a whole lot of people.
  4. I don't have any issues with the Tabor hire. I honestly didn't think that Bisaccia would end up being a ST coach. I just loved the way the players performed under him even after the whole situation there. I was just thinking that here's a guy who's proven he can step in and get it done when the HC is out during the season. Makes it easier to move on if need be.
  5. We should ride with Darnold and his 19m salary and fix the line. Of course, this would mean Rhule would likely be fire so expect some serious draft day shenanigans, a rookie QB and more empty promises and confused looks wondering why we traded the 1st pick in 2023 to Detroit to move up and select Pickett.
  6. Would have made a great hire here to replace Blackburn and eventually Rhule when we start the season 1-6.
  7. Just make it a kickball game. Those are more fun than these shenanigans anyway.
  8. We've already signed THE PJ Walker for 2022 so we're all good there at least.
  9. That sounds well and good until the fans that have been saying stuff on a message board all season like play BC at LT because he's better than anything else we have happens, and oh look, he's better than anything else. Or Brady is running a very simple offense defenses are predicting which proves to be the case all year as they constantlyjump routes. Or Sam can't read a defense at the line. Or Chinn is playing out of position and being neutralized by our own coach. Or Brown should be playing over Miller because sacks don't just happen. So while we may just be "fans", ir would appear that the Huddle has more common sense than Rhay-Z.
  10. What do the first 5 picks of the draft look like because that determines a lot of what I would try to do.
  11. Or it could be that the other 31 owners decided to select a guy that would never field a serious contender for a Super Bowl. Doesn't really matter at this point. We have Tepper and are the laughing stock of the NFL led by Rhay-Z.
  12. He might be ready to run away from the Rhule poo show. No need to help rearrange the deck chairs.
  13. Do Walter reads the Huddle. Best source of info he's ever had on the Panthers.
  14. We announced our interest at Fitts season ending presser. He was asked about college QBs and he didn't mention any... except Pickett. A more poorly kept secret than drafting Will Grier at 100.
  15. Because we have to hang onto every sliver of hope. It's all we have man. Otherwise it's going to be a very long depressing offseason before a long depressing season.
  16. 4 1sts dude. We've got to move up to 1 to get Pickett.
  17. Who would Washington and Pittsburg be moving up for? 1st and 2 2nds and 2 1sts seem awful steep considering the talent at the QB position.
  18. He was probably just thinking Hey Robby drop it. You've been doing that all year anyway
  19. I've said before I wonder if it's how he sees it. I know from personal experience, I was trying to understand how a particular type of valve works and I could not get it no matter what. Everyone around me got it, but I couldn't. Then I stopped trying to understand the valve like everyone else was doing and instead tried to understand how fluid moved through the valve and it clicked. Not only could I understand that valve, I could understand any version of that valve. I'm not saying Darnold will ever have one of those moments, it's just watching him never progress it looks like he's stuck much like I was. Of course with Gase and Rhule leading him, he looks worse now than ever. I don't know if he does or doesn't have it, and frankly I don't want to wait anymore to find out. Maybe McAdoo can help him, maybe not. Unless he has dramatic improvement by week 17, it's either cheap backup or hit the pavement.
  20. I understand the spirit in which it was intended. Unfortunately ingrained racism isn't something you can just RR out of existence with some of these owners. What I would really like to see is the NFL push apprenticeship or more assistant type roles for players that are interested in making the transition or for those that maybe lack the physical talent to play but have the intellectual gift but have a harder time finding the opportunity to get involved. There's always going to be hate and it's such a stupid thing. We're all fingers on the same hand. We may look different but we have to work to make it all work.
  21. I feel happy and disappointed at the same time. Happy he's staying at Michigan, disappointed Rhule is staying here.
  22. It's for show. If you're being called for an interview, how do you know if it's because you actually have a shot or if you are just there to fulfill a quota? I don't know what the solution is, but when the rule was implemented, it was pretty obvious that it was going to come to this at some point.
  23. I don't recall another candidate ever having the level of scrutiny surrounding why he hasn't been hired as a HC as Eric Bieneimy. It's possible he didn't have a good interview with the Falcons. This was put out last year after he interviewed with the Falcons. Again, how much truth there is to that I don't know but it isn't unheard of for someone to have a bad interview. Sticking your coach with a QB he doesn't want could make him hard to work with. But then again, Ross is one of the worst owners in the NFL and I would much easier believe that Ross was hard to work with than the other way around. Before Rhule was hired, I thought we should have interviewed Bieniemy. You can have a poor interview and it not be any reflection of your ability to do the job. Matt Rhule evidently nailed his interview to the tune of 60M and look at what he's doing. Bieniemy and Flores (if possible) are 2 of the names I am hoping we interview if Rhule ever hits the bricks. I think both could be capable of doing well given a good GM and the proper talent. Will that materialize. Who knows. But if I'm trying to build a winning franchise and make it worth even more money, then yeah, I'm looking at every possible candidate.
