  1. I don't disagree with the legal part but Goodell is such a hypocrite with league policy enforcement. He does what's in the best interest of the NFL image and if that means Watson needs to be suspended long term to appease some group, that's what he will do.
  2. Just because he hasn't been doesn't mean he can't be charged. How stupid would we feel giving up 3 1sts and a couple of good players and Watson goes on the exempt list. It's not like you can undo traded players without consequences like draft picks. Until the investigation is over, I just don't think he's worth the risk.
  3. Darnlod has the tools to be a good NFL QB. Arm talent, mobility and he's shown flashes of having "it" as we saw in the Vikings game with that 4th quarter comeback. The question has always been surrounding his mental aspect and how much Gase and company were responsible. I admit, after reading the reviews of Gase in NY, the blocking and Sam trying to do everything to win (it seemed), I get why he was worth looking at. Now as far as the actual evaluation in person, I can't judge that, but he had the potential to be a average to above average NFL QB. I don't know if it's ghosts or he just can't process NFL level speed fast enough, but something is definitely off upstairs. My personal thought is quicksand and the more he fights the worse it gets. Those first few games he was feeling it somewhat with CMC as a safety valve, but now, the wheels have just fallen off. I don't know if he can be fixed or if sitting on the bench behind a NFL starting caliber QB could help. I do know trading the farm for Watson isn't going to fix our blocking or stone hands receivers or our boring predictable offense.
  4. It's savage because it's honest. Darnold sucks right now for whatever reason. The offense looks like ass. Our OC can only function with CMC and our team looks uninspired.
  5. It wasn't really a sack. He was trying to prevent an interception.
  6. Here's what we've figured out. 1. Darnold is playing terrible and that's being generous. That 5th year option is looking like a huge mistake. 2. PJ has no business backing up anyone. I can't even imagine how bad Grier must have been to get cut over PJ. 3. Brady is in over his head. No adjustments and defenses aren't even having to try and figure out what we're going to do. 4. This team needs an offensive line. Going to be hard to do that with only a single first round pick. Unless we trade back and add some picks, it's not going to be easy. 5. This team needs a wake up call. Motivational speaking isn't going to get it done.
  7. Bienemy or Moore. I think Bienemy should get to coach, just not 100% sure of how much of KCs offense success he was responsible for. Moore has Dallas offense humming and is energetic and creative and I think this team and fanbase could really use some of that right now.
  8. After what this team has already given up, this would be stupid. With what the Texans are going to want it leaves no way to fix the oline, sign DJ, Burns or any other key pieces and that doesn't even bring into consideration if he's even allowed to play. Houston smells blood in the water and we may be stupid enough to bite. No first or 2nds for the next 3 years would be where we likely end up with a bloated contract and Watson can walk by the time we have a chance to even begin fixing it. Please No.
  9. It was him or Grier or a wet fart. I'd rather have a wet fart because at least I already know I'm getting poo on.
  10. We lack talent on the oline and at QB but calling plays that are focused on our greatest weaknesses is just down right idiotic. We can't hold the pass block for 5-7 step drops. We can't run up the gut. Our deep threat has hands that make Tedd Ginn look like he bathed in stickem. Sam plays better on the move. We make ZERO adjustments. He's calling horrible offense and we're executing it just as well.
  11. If Rhule won't fire Brady, you should. This is a joke.
  12. I never thought I'd look back on the days of George Seifert and wish for that level of success.
  13. I'm not sure which trade was worse. Armanti Edwards for the 33rd pick or Darnold for what looks like an early 2nd, 4th and 6th and all that wasted cap space.
  14. 2 things that haven't been a priority. Getting a solid kicker after Butker got poached, and building an offensive line with FA that don't spend the majority of their time on a bike. No wonder we went down in those 2 areas.
  15. Speaking on a conference call with New York media on Thursday, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said "I haven't done any work on anyone else" and "I believe Sam (Darnold) will be a great quarterback for the Carolina Panthers." That's it. We're trading for Watson. That's the Rhule kiss of death.
  16. I blame Brady and coaches mostly. Dallas was a tough game against a team that looks really good right now. But the other 2 our offense looked unprepared, pedestrian and just plain boring. Obviously some falls onto Darnold and our WR, but all in all, the team looked unprepared. Can't expect a defense to hold out forever. Offense has to score points. It's a lot easier to win when you can score 30 points.
  17. CmC would best be used like Patterson if we want to maximize durability. RB that spreads wide as a receiver to maximize defenses inability to cover him.. He doesn't need to touch the ball every play to have an impact.
  18. I liken it to shooting. If you give me time to think about the process, I'll miss wide left every time. If I just let muscle memory take over, I'm good. He just does not do well when he's given unexpected time to think.
