Daniel Snyder really needs to let someone else make the decisions.

I'd rather have a SB trophy nudge Ala the great Manning send off of SB50.

Flores is one of the guys I really wanted to see brought in if Rhule bolts for UM. I don't know if that is possible now. If Rhule does bolt, it just proves this franchise is even a bigger shitshow for missing out on the top candidates to keep a guy who didn't want to be here.

“If you have a QB you like, You take a shot there”

True. But most NFL coaches don't come out and openly say it making themselves look like even bigger jackasses. -

Hurney gave Little a 1st round value. Anyone that watched the combine had him sliding to day 3 or UDFA. -

LT are easier to identify. We had this year's 2nd team all pro LT identified as a guard. See how easy that was. -

And most of the time the 5 year old ends up kicking your ass. -
It was pretty much announced afterwards when Talib said he was to trying to injure Philly Brown and all he got was a 25k fine. Players got suspended for bountygate. Talib laughs about doing it and gets a slap on the wrist.

I think we could possibly have had good drafts. I also think it's possible Rhule may have the uncanny ability to neutralize own players better than any opposing coordinator ever could. I thought Rivera was bad at putting players in positions to succeed but he is an amateur compared to Rhay-Z. -

But can you trust Rhule to make that determination? My gut says no. -

I'm not in disagreement with you at all and he does need to work on his craft and not rely on physical gifts. And he could have very well been honing his craft, with poor or inadequate coaching. We don't really know. Which is why I'm not ready to write him off. Linemen can play into their mid 30s so if it takes him a couple years to fix this, so be it. If he doesn't, we move on. Whether it's working with the Panthers new OL coach or a private coach, it's definitely going to take more than 10 minutes and lots of repetition to correct his form. My point really was you don't draft 3rd round tackles to make them plug and play all over the line as a rookie. There's too much too learn and it's really setting them and the team up for failure. I just think Rhule really is the wrong guy for skill set evaluation and placement. -

I agree to an extent. It's all about how the player engages. At guard, it's a much more physical engagement against an often larger player. You have to bend forward so that at impact your body straightens and you can take that impact without losing your balance or your leverage. At tackle, while you engage, it's against lighter faster players that are often trying to get outside your shoulders and past you. You don't engage as heavily and stand up a little straighter so you can move laterally better. Defenders can and will use your momentum against you as well. At guard I expected to cover about 60 degrees of the the field in front of me, tackle was about 90 degrees. That extra space meant I had to be more agile and couldn't explode out of my stance the same for each position. Can BC improve? Absolutely. But I think it's also unfair to say he should be able to move all over the line without issue. Very few linemen can move across all positions on the line seamlessly because it isn't easy to do, much less for a rookie. But we're talking about things happening in tenths of a second and this is where coaching comes into play. Coaches should be able to close these gaps from college to the pros. Fix these problems and help them adjust to the speed and size difference. But looking at Matt Rhule and having to say that's the guy to help BC make that adjustment, all I can say to myself is he's fugged. -

Actually yes. I played both tackle and guard. -

If every coach at every level could teach perfect fundamentals every player would have them. They don't. There's only a few elite level tackles every year because they don't all have these basic fundamentals. First step is different, but so is the second and the third. Tackles face more speed rushers where guards face more power rushers. Tackles slide laterally more often, guards get pushed backwards. Defenders use different hand movements. Again, we're talking 2 different positions. Guard is not his natural position. He probably has to think about it because it's not what he does on a regular basis. His blocking assignments are also different. Put him in 4 different positions and yeah, you can't expect him to look good because everything he is doing is constantly different. I'm not saying he's going to be great or even good. I'm just saying to expect a 1st round level performance from him with Rhay-Z as his HC is a little much. Fundamentals can be fixed. He can be taught. That's why we have offensive line coaches. Just try teaching him 1 spot first instead of 4. And by someone who actually knows that a tackle doesn't have to fit certain measurements to be all pro level. -

Getting your feet set is a positional issue. Tackles have more room to open up than guards or center. The movement for blocking for guard is different than tackle. If you don't think footwork matters, intentionally shorten your natural stride by 2 inches and watch how much you struggle to keep that adjustment and how much it affects everything you do. Also, he's now going up against what were before elite level players. He could very well be overcompensating for their level of skill and power. That's why coaching is important. To teach them how to adjust to the new level of competition. -

And we are wasting another year with Rhay-Z steering the ship. I'm not a fan or a hater of BC, I just hate incompetence and Rhule's greatest success was unfortunately in that area last year. We should have seen BC and Brown both get significant PT last year but didn't because Rhule thought he knew something 1000 %that the entire NFL and 95% of the Huddle knew to be BS. Irving and Brown were not starting material. -
I can't say one way or the other. It could be a genuine effort from the Bucs if they think he has mental issues and needs help. If they believe that he could be positioning himself for some type of lawsuit it could be something else. I'm not going to call it either way. His antics are well known and he doesn't act like most folks, that much is for certain.

The IOL was bad and we went out day 1 of FA and got 2 overpaid, underwhelming FAs to go with our terrible C, and our sack factory Miller. We had the opportunity to address the IOL, we blew it. Rhule can't evaluate line talent worth a damn. Elfien and Irving are 2 of the premier offensive linemen in FA. Is there anyone else in the NFL that even had this as a thought? -
I'm not disagreeing with that. My point is BC played better than Erving in preseason. BC should have been starting week 1. Best player on the field. Right now we would know, is BC a swing tackle? Can he start in this league? Are his arms really an issue and he needs to be moved inside to guard? Right now we should know the answer to these questions and we don't. BC could have been an all pro (not saying he is), but we would never know because Rhule refused to play him. That's why I say we're drafting for need. Because we wasted time determining whether or not BC was worth being our starter for no damn good reason.

No but if the division sucks we don't want to go to the playoffs with a losing record. No moral victory for 1 and done and year 4 of Matt Rhule
-
I don't see us getting more than a 3rd and a 6th and exchanging 1sts if we don't drop below 12. We're just in a bad spot this year. We're desperate, we've wasted our 2nd, 3rd and 4th, not considered a great QB class, and have the Giants before and behind us. If there is a trade it will be on draft day after the 5th pick. I just don't think we're going to get the value we would typically see for the 6th pick.

Gotta have a trade partner that is willing to pay to move up. Unless these QBs wow at the combine, it will be an underwhelming trade if at all.
