  1. The best answer I have is we have to see what is done in FA before the draft. Personally I'd like to move down to mid teens or 20 and take Linderbaum there, but if we have no takers at 6 for trade, if Linderbaum checks all the boxes, take him there.
  2. If everything points to the team headed for disaster, the most sense would be to get rid of the guy driving the train over a cliff.
  3. This move was made in an effort to secure the number 1 pick in 2023 to the Vikings for Cousins.
  4. 2 DBs from injury by laying down before the 1st down marker.
  5. I'd take Ricky Vaughn without glasses over Sam Darnold. Still a better chance of throwing it to our guys.
  6. Waste our 1st round draft pick to buy Rhule 2 more yesrs
  7. Ian Thomas 3 yr 16.5m. Yep, that's going to bring the fans to the stands.
  8. If Fitts wants to work in the NFL after he's eventually fired by the Panthers with Rhule, he better knock this poo off.
  9. This would get Rhule to at least year 5 and I can't even think how far into the toilet he can take the team by then
  10. Which QB would you have signed instead of Darnold? Minshew or Trubisky. Either would likely have netted us the same results or better based on previous starting experience and past performance and we wouldn't have had to give up nearly the haul to get either one of them. Which OL would you have signed?Drafted Slater at LT. Wanted him then. Thought we might could have dropped to 10 or 11 and still gotten him but I would have been perfectly fine at 8. Round 2 after the trade down, drafted Creed Humphrey instead of TMJ. Play him at G until he won the C job, which likely would have happened in TC. Grabbed Trey Smith instead of a friggin LS. He was definitely worth the risk as a comp 6th. In FA, definitely not signed Irving and Elfein on day 1 of FA, especially for the contracts they got. They were considered by most to be the end of FA signings, definitely not day 1. Starting lineup could have been Slater-LGFA/Smith-Humphrey-Smith/Brown-Moton. It would have easily been better than the poo show we had. What would you do realistically to fix this? When the owner has to tell you you have to hire a rockstar OC or you're going to be fired, it's beyond the point of fixing. This offseason, first thing would have been to fire Rhule and go find another HC that has actual NFL experience and let him assemble an actual staff. There are a few I liked, and we'll have to see how they work out eventually. I liked Bisiacca or Flores as potential candidates. Bisiacca for how he brought the team together in spite of what happened in LV, and I think Flores got a bad deal in Miami because he didn't like Tua and he wasn't quiet about it. BC needs to start at LT if we don't draft one. Elfein to C. Moton at RT. Brown at RG. Best available draft pick or FA we can afford without breaking the bank. Keep in mind that the secondary was terrible before the Horn pick. Had to be addressed. Defense gets easier when your offense isn't constantly going 3 and out, giving opposing offenses a short field, or handing out turnovers like Halloween candy. Our offensive line has been ignored and defense was taken with every pick the year before. LT is a much harder position to fill than CB. You get to hindsight this which they couldn’t do but go for it. This wasn't hindsight. This is what I and a lot of fans I talked offseason with were saying before we went into FA. There were 2 franchise LT available and we needed to get 1 of them and address the offensive line. The opportunity was there. We blew it. At this point though, since we are stuck with Rhule, decisions on personnel are going to Fitts and Morgan. It's either that or Rhule can walk. No more FA QBs for picks or big contracts and no drafting one at 6. He picked TB, it failed. He picked Sammy D. It failed. PJ Walker is not an NFL caliber backup. He's terrible, but there's that connection so. Rhule is not the guy I want picking my next franchise QB. LT in the draft if the top 3 aren't gone, trade back mid teens or 20s if they are, draft Penning or Linderbaum. Use the additional picks to take a C,T, or G in round 2/3 depending on what the trade netted. Make Rhule work with the decisions he made already. Don't blow cap space on what's already likely a lost season. Suffer through it and can him at the end of the year. Look for a real NFL coach with NFL experience and start over. And I'm not jumping ship as a Panther's fan. I have zero confidence in Rhule's ability to fix this because he's shown nothing to give me any.
  11. Well their offenses were on the field more than ours so they had more opportunities to fug it up.
  12. Anyone who watched Brown play compared to Miller knows who should have been starting. It wasn't Miller. Just because a guy isn't starting doesn't mean he shouldn't be. We've seen this several times over, not just with Rhule, Rivera was bad about it too.
  13. If we bring in Jimmy G or Cousins we will be paying more for QBs than KC is for Mahomes. That just hurts to think about.
  14. I've already booked 12 tee times for next season so far. I'm actually looking forward to this season of Sunday golf, BBQ and bourbon.
  15. You don't have to have coached in the NFL to recognize bad coaching or bad management, and it's not required to recognize the arrogance to claim success despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. Rhule has made absolute bone headed decisions from hiring a staff with almost zero NFL experience to assembling one of the worst offensive lines we've ever had (and overpaying for it to), and trading assets for the worst QB in the past 3 years after watching very little film on him when other better QBs were available for far far less. And let's not forget the 2-12 finish after barely beating the Jets, a Saints team missing half the damn staff due to Covid, and a Texans team with a 3rd round rookie making his first NFL start. But keep on drinking that kool-aid Rhay-Z keeps serving. It's good poo. 1000%
  16. This defense better be the best the NFL has ever seen because they're going to have to hold every team to 7 or less for us to have a chance with our high powered 3 and out offense.
  17. There's a difference between sticking out the rough times and tolerating incompetence. Rhule has shown he has no idea how to run an NFL team, evaluate talent, or put players in a position to succeed. Demanding better than arrogant failure does not make me less of a fan.
  18. The Detroit Lions have a brighter future right now than we do. How far we have fallen.
  19. The fact we signed PJ Walker the day after our season ended tells me sadly, the answer to your question is on our roster.
  20. Step 3. The next time you allow the football guys to make football decisions, please make sure they at least have some NFL experience first. Step 4. See Step one.
  21. The only reason we got Burns is because Daniel Snyder forced the pick of Haskins. Montez Sweat ended up going to them with their 2nd 1st round pick. Otherwise it would have been Greg Little in the 1st because Burns wouldn't have been there.
  22. I don't either really and if we were to trade for later 1st round picks, I think we would have to draft Thibs if we believed in him enough and try to move Burns, a 2023 pick and his still decent rookie contract with 5th year option to get a 15 and 19 like we could from Philly. There's a lot of what ifs involved with that, but I seriously think that's the only way we could trade out from 6 and not lose a whole lot IF we believe Thibs could be as good as Burns.
