  1. It also assumes he doesn't fly in any more massage therapists.
  2. I'm honestly not worried about it. We aren't going anywhere with Rhay-Z as our HC. 1000%
  3. Don't want him here. There's still 22 civil suits pending. I expect him to settle those to make them go away. I wouldn't let my kid go to Michael Jackson's house or be an alter boy for the Catholic church. Just because you didn't get convicted doesn't mean your innocent. OJ was found guilty civilly, innocent in criminal.
  4. Just because you will do whatever it takes to win doesn't mean you have the ability to win. Teppers decisions so far don't really give that warm fuzzy feeling that everything is going to be alright.
  5. Actually think this is too cheap an offer. I think we should get more than a 16 and 51 for 6. The pot would have to be sweetened for me with a 3rd as well and a future 2023 pick. If we did drop though, my picks would be 16. Linderbaum 19. Penning or Raimann, or one of the top WR if they fall. I might possibly trade back mid 20s with this pick too to get an extra 2nd or 3rd, and take Zion Johnson mid 20s. 51. Chad Muma if he's still on the board.
  6. Right now Tepper reminds me of the rich guy that paid the 10k buy in for the World Series of Poker because it looks so easy on TV.
  7. I don't see any other team acting this desperate and desperation breeds opportunity. Other teams can be interested. No other team is likely willing to pay what we are. Houston knows this and isn't going to budge on the negotiations because they don't have to. We played our hand way to early.
  8. How bad of a PR problem is it going to be if Watson settles 22 civil cases? Rice got 2 games the Goodell caved to public pressure. If he suspends him 10 games and the pressure starts piling on, how long do you think Watson gets then? Women are a large part of the NFL fanbase. Goodell will do what it takes to protect the league and if that means sacrificing Watson to protect billions in revenue, you can damn sure bet he won't hesitate.
  9. We could have 1/3 of our cap space devoted to QBs and still be forced to start Darnold. Houston has made it clear there will be no guarantees of this trade because even its obvious they doubt if he will be available next year. If Watson settles the civil suits, how long does anyone think it will take for a suspension to come? The social media pressure on the NFL will be enormous to never let him play again. Does anyone seriously think Goodell is going to defend Watson over the NFL shield in a PR campaign? And if Watson does decide to go to court, how focused can he be with cameras and paparazzi following him 24/7 and all the other mud slinging that's going to occur in a highly publicized trial like this. Until it's resolved one way or another, this is a no win situation. It's not even really a no win. The Panthers will lose and lose big. But then again, that's what it's like having Rhule and Tepper in charge.
  10. We're bidding against the Texans. That's what they want for a guy refusing to play for them 1 year after signing a 160 million dollar contract. Here's a better idea. We arent goimg to the playoffs with Watson. This team is not good enough and Rhule definitely isnt. Don't trade for Watson, let him ride the bench another year, get a LT this year in the draft, and wait for the Texans to be desperate to move him because of that 40m a year salary or they have to cut him. Next year, depending on the draft position, choose either a QB from that draft or then trade for Watson, who's legal situation should be much clearer and Houston is desperate to get rid of 40m a year on their salary cap for the next 4 years for a guy that's never going to step foot on the field for them again. Rhule's desperate attempt to hang on to his job and Tepper's desperate attempt to find a QB are not good reasons to gut the talent on this team. This is like Dan Snyders obsession with Dwayne Haskins only much much worse.
  11. Joey Bosa, Justin Herbert, Penai Sewell, Brian Burns, and Horn for Deshaun Watson and his baggage. That's what we could potentially be giving up. Add in a 3rd rd comp, 2nd, 4th and 6th because that's what we've already given up for QBs that we're going to be the guy. And Watson didn't want to waive his no trade clause until there was nobody else interested. We are his last choice. Makes you wonder if he would even want to stay past his contract or just force his way out of that too.
  12. Reddick was on a prove it deal. He's not staying. He played for a big contract and hes going to get it. Gilmore was a trade and it doesn't look like he's staying either. He's going to get paid too. Good FAs don't flock to bad teams unless they're overpaid. And in what world do you trade that much for a player and have to hope and pray he doesn't do some stupid poo again that ends up in more lawsuits and criminal investigations? Plus how do we know he will even want to stay after 2 or 3 4-5 win seasons under Rhule. You can't break the bank for a guy with this many question marks not even counting the current allegations and charges.
  13. How would you move on to filling other holes? With 3rd and later picks? Or the plethora of free agents come to learn at the feet of the master Matt Fhule. Better get ready to renegotiate that contract for 75m a season in 3 years when he wants a new one or else he's leaving. That's if he's even allowed on the field because we all know what Roger Goodell says and what he does are to very different things when it comes to social media pressure. This trade will be worse than the Herschel Walker trade by a long shot.
  14. Depending on the grand jury, 2 packs of smokes and 50 bucks commissary
  15. We're going to trade Darnold too but we'll pay all his salary.
  16. My thought as well. When he was finally able to have roster control it turned to shambles
  17. Loading up to take a shot at a SB run. They have the offense and now their pass rush is going to be scary. If you have the pieces in place, the picks and cap doesn't really matter.
  18. Kaep can carry a team to the Super Bowl after being out of the league for how long now? Can I have some of what Schefter is smoking?
  19. At one time Rhule said he was really looking forward to working with Cam. Could be the truth. Could not be. Time will tell.
  20. If we made the trade for Watson, Darnold would have to be part of it. Otherwise we're going to be fielding a bunch of UDFAs and bottom of the barrel FAs just to fill our roster. We can't have 30% of our cap tied up at the QB position when we have so many holes.
  21. Ron got better with Gettleman. He was worse with Hurney. I consider Ron a mediocre HC, but still leaps and bounds better than Kelly, Meyer, and other college coaches, including Rhule, that failed spectacularly at the NFL level. Matt Rhule is heading towards Bill O'Brian level as HC/GM in a hurry. Boneheaded trades, terrible contracts to JAGs and one hit wonders, putting players out of position, and a system that works 1000% that results in losing. Right now, Ron is the better coach. But I still don't want either want of them as HC of the Panthers.
  22. No disagreement from me about starting somewhere. Also in the mix is do you think Rhule is the one to pull this off? Judging by the moves made in the second season I don't think that he was or ever could be. And also from what we know, Rhule/Tepper or steering this ship, not our GM. How much confidence do you have in Rhule to get this right. Currently I have zero and that doesn't even include any legal issues. This feels like a desperate move by a desperate coach and owner trying to save themselves.
  23. The Rams are acquiring players that want to come play for a shot at a SB. Watson would be coming to the same situation he just forced himself out of in Houston. We would have to give up 3 1st rounders. His contract expires in 4 years which means we would have to extend him before it ends if he would agree to it. He's already shown he doesn't want to play for a bad team, so would he agree to stay here or move to a SB contender? There's a lot to factor in besides just draft picks.
