  1. Funny. I didn't mention Darnold at all. All QBs can get happy feet. Getting rhythmic timing can help anyone doing any sort of repetitive task. It takes time to develop muscle memory. I think part of why Darnold has issues in a clean pocket, and I could be wrong, is he's expecting to have to run or get hit at any second. He's more comfortable in quick routes because the ball is gone before he can get leveled. Maybe he gets better with an improved line, maybe not I still don't think he's the long term answer at our QB position.
  2. My first thought is rhythm training. Helping to dial in timing for drops and get happy feet under control.
  3. You don't take the heart and soul of a fan base and discard it like it's trash. You can build a new brand. You can try and draw in a younger generation. But never forget where you came from.
  4. I'm just looking forward to seeing any of them play before week 14.
  5. He's probably a little nervous about Darnold and the hospital balls he tosses.
  6. I don't think we can ignore the interior line either. We have some additions but we could be perilously thin at guard and center. While I'm all for getting top tier talent, I wouldn't mind moving our 1st for a couple 2nds and 3rds just to be able to fill in some of the less showy spots with the top talent that usually falls into that area.
  7. Easy answer. Icky and Corral. Watson would have been behind our line from last year with zero upgrades available. How well do you think we would do when he's getting planted 2 steps into his 3 step drop?
  8. But just being a top 5 qb doesn't make you a SB contender. Salary cap can negate a lot of the advantages you get. Add in a vet LT and you're likely looking at 55m per year of cap space vs 6m. That's a lot of other places to improve the team. Corral could end up being good as well, just at a much lower price tag, for now. And Watson's career could be over on a bad hit or more legal BS. It's not just about managing talent on the field, you have to manage the whole picture.
  9. The Huddle will have 100 fire Rhule threads by week 10 over/under
  10. The area where Foles could be best for Corral is in the locker room helping him learning how to deal with the highs and lows of being the QB. He was a SB MVP and now he's been cut just a couple of years later. That's not something that coaches can really share. That knowledge and how to handle those ups and downs in a locker room could be invaluable to a young QBs development.
  11. He's competing for starting job making 8 figures. I get why he doesn't want to mentor him. One of the reasons I like the idea of Foles is he's been at the top as SB MVP and now at the bottom being cut. If he's willing to share that knowledge, that information is priceless.
  12. I would try to do a Baker/Sam swap straight even. Cleveland gets rid of a disgruntled Baker and replaces him with Sam who costs just as much but without the drama. Carolina gets Baker who may not be the future but can't really be much worse than Sam. Salaries are a wash. Cleveland has no leverage with Corral as our 3rd round pick. It's basically trading for a shiny new turd, but if we're talking about best chance of winning, it would make some sense for Rhule.
  13. It was a dare. $100 bucks to eat some lutefisk and boiled cabbage.
  14. Non issue for me. Much rather a few punches be thrown than the way a lot of it gets dealt with now.
  15. I have always had an issue with Rhule's ego. Every coach had to deal with Covid. Rhule was no exception. Rhule's biggest issues, IMO, is that he always thinks he is the smartest guy in the room despite evidence to the contrary and his willingness to double down on his ability to see things that people with much more experience cant see. He has made glaring mistakes that the armchair coaches from the Huddle got right early on in the season. TB, Darnold, the trade and his 5th year, Elfein and Irving in day 1 FA, Chinn to FS, Brady, his OL choices, play calling, lack of adjustments even after firing Brady, calling himself Jay-z, 1000%, being told to hire NFL caliber staff or else and the list goes on. I don't see those type of decisions just going away through some type of magical awakening. I have faith the Fitts and Morgan can take this team to new levels. I'm don't believe Rhule is the guy to complete that equation for success. Nothing I've seen in his actions the past 2 years makes me think he's capable of that kind of growth in the past 2 months.
  16. Alex Lindstrom to Dallas. Was one of my hopefuls as a UDFA.
  17. I'm really curious to see who we go after as UDFA. I think there could be some unexpected IOL talent available that we really should pursue, especially at C.
  18. Wouldn't mind Thayer Munford here.
  19. Would like to see Rasheed Walker if he lasts that long. Big guy that can play tackle but would translate to guard in the NFL. He handles bull rushers well. LG would be solved, BC to swing tackle, Irving to the unemployment line.
  20. If it is the latter, I'll be glad we didn't pass on the opportunity
  21. Has a coach ever been fired during the draft?
