  1. Since everyone likes to post their workouts here, here is mine for my alt leg day. I squat, and other stuff midweek. Deficit roman deadlifts 2x10@225 2x12@285 2x8@315 2x8@405 2x12@285 2x6@225 negative descent Plate loaded leg press 2x6@95 2x8@225 2x12@225 2x8@725 2x8@750 2x6@725 2x12@525 2x12@315 Plate loaded leg extension 6x8@270 Plate loaded single leg curl 6x8@185 We have one similar. It is 6' to the best guess. I flipped it a few times to see what it was like. I never had. Didn't seem that appealing to me, as it was rather easy. Not trying to sound pompous or arrogant, just saying it didn't do much for me and spending 20 minutes doing it to feel the burn - I'd rather do something else.
  2. I meant 14.9. On the tread it will usually say. Most tires are 12.4-14.9 to x 24-28. That's the average tractor tire 35-55 horsepower.
  3. So, pistol squat is in the books as something I can do. Dragon Lifts, check. Hand stand, done. Human Flag here I come. I keep seeing "the tire" mentioned. I am not sure which size ya'll talk about but if you mean a simple 14.6 tire then I am confused? Those are not bad at all. The dumptruck tires are different, though.
  4. It's all Bills up in here. Last one I promise.
  5. For some reason I remember I didn't like you, so I won't give you advice that if you want to try an amazing post workout you should look in to AfterGlow. It is available at some GNC's but not all, and corporate GNC's do not carry it. BodyBuilding.com does not have it anymore. The only place I know to get it - independent/franchise GNC's can order it and I only know two in NC (Clemmons and Kernersville) that carry it. It contains supercissus - an herbal extract for anti-inflam, some bcaa's and other junk. I take it, but I get it at ridiculous prices. I have been lifting and athletic - college D1 level - my entire life and found nothing better. If you'd like more info PM me.
  6. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=27864&s=68a6e600dd30bdd7287398496ef6795e&p=51314721&viewfull=1#post51314721 That should help, he spelled it out so I won't have to. It is not that they inhibit growth of muscle, they inhibit protein synthesis to aid and recover muscles. I suppose, and I don't know it to be true, that if you are killing it in protein, BCAA's, and fluids it may be enough to not slow it down as much.
  7. Give 180degree landmines a try. They may not look like a challenge or all that tough but they'll make a man of you and are better then most core exercises combined. The core is so neglected in any gym I enter. For the leg and lower back, as well as hips, try some pistol squats. When ya get a chance do some dragon flags. Build up to them and don't do them to failure. And make sure you do it the real way and keep your entire body straight as you do them.
  8. There is a Rugged Maniac in Asheboro this April. http://www.ruggedmaniac.com/events-details/items/north-carolina.html The JV version of a tough mudder, but they're still fun. Anyone doing it?
  9. Snowed in Davidson County. But, didn't add up. I knew it wouldn't. I spent too much time yesterday getting ready for ice and snow to have it do anything today. Although, I guess we better be thankful because every old farmer I know is telling me the signs are there for making it a hot, long and dry summer. They were right about the winter, the persimmon seed, the foggy days in August, the wooly worm, and Southern winds in November.
  10. There is a picture for you. From the late Bills owner, Ralph C. Wilson Jr. after the infamous "Just Give It To Them" New England Patriots where the Pats were given a 1st down that they did not deserve. There used to be better YouTube footage where you could see the Ref's mouthing, and audibly hearing them say "just give it to them." Anyway, after today and the sad news, figured it would be fun to share a picture like the above response by Mr. Wilson to Paul Tagliawhatever.
  11. http://imgur.com/gallery/yGJKk Found on imgur. Posted it on my Bills board. Can't make new threads. One ya'll oughta make a new thread with this. It's amazingly well done.
  12. that's scary... glad i learned something new today. I thought I knew a lot about crazy stuff...guess I was wrong.
  13. says the guy likely working at CVE... Crossfit is intensly addictive and cultlike, though.
  14. I'm new here, but curious if any of the folks in Charlotte do any Crossfit? If so, you are very lucky to have a great Coach and Crossfit gym. The place is awesome, Coach A is one of the very best.
  15. I've seen gif's posted. So, I am going on a limb and submitting this:
  16. good game fellas. I'll be back from time to time. I hated that I called some of those plays, but it was a great game. I loved that I called those plays, the CJ run and the Newton end of game sack were obvious to me. The Bills believe in Manuel, I was telling that over and over again in the chat - he's a good player, and he did what we all knew he could.

  18. it is clear carolina came in with a game plan to exploit the buffalo backfield and it is not working. they thought it woudl set up their run, and now... their scheme is poo. their scheme is not working and they are clueless with what to do. it is tragic and it is a CLEAR sign of bad coaching. I said this in the chat box... but I am truly confused. How could you gameplan so poorly? We held Tom Brady pretty good, and Cam Newton is half the QB he is. This is just awful. Shula is an idiot.
  19. You predict the final score to 42? 28 of those points coming from an offense that barely woke up last week. I do not know if I can see that. Not for the Bills defense at all, but for the Panthers offense. That's a tall task. It was a tall task last year. This is also a game at Buffalo - an often under appreciated stadium. The defense for Buffalo is hollowed out in the secondary but the front 7 is full of what-was players and up-and-comers. Who shows up on defense for the Bills? Your guess is as good as mine...but 28 points by the offense would be a strong outting. 6 TD's total...that's a lot. A very lot. The Bills special teams is very good. The offense has CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson. Two RB's that can keep pounding the line and will. There is no quit in FJax, and CJ is a homerun hitter. He will get -2yds, 2yds or break one open for 20+. There is no difference and if you see him start to hit holes, find a rythym and he gets his butt up field he will pick up yards. I do not see 4 sacks against Manuel. If Kolb was starting I could see 4 sacks. The INT's...sure why not. I think Buffalo is better then 17 points. I expect both teams to put at least 20 points up. An unsuspecting hero for the Bills D...Carrington, #92. He is a high motor guy who is quick. He played OLB in the 3-4 in the past few seasons. All ya'll better chose Hammers Lot, but you'd have had to get there by 8. That would be a very disappointing game. If the panthers can't score more then 17 on the Bills defense with Newton starting and a subpar DB unit for the Bills.
