  1. OK Why Did the Panthers Lie and Say Edwards and or Hixon will play today
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/415/look-for-hixon-edwards-more-at-wr CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- If you're wondering why Carolina Panthers wide receiver Domenik Hixonwas on the inactive roster for Sunday's opener against the Seattle Seahawks, you're not alone. Edwards Hixon Hixon wants to know, too. The Panthers signed the former New York Giants player during the offseason to add depth to a thin wide-receiving corps, to possibly be the No. 3 receiver behind Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell. After dealing with a hamstring injury for more than a month in training camp, Hixon caught three passes for 44 yards in the preseason finale against Pittsburgh and seemed good to go for Week 1. "I felt good,'' Hixon said Wednesday. "Yeah, I felt good.'' So why didn't he play? "I wasn't told why, so I can't answer that for you,'' Hixon said. "I didn't ask. All I can do is practice throughout the week, show them I am ready to play and keep on working hard.''
  3. Sounds like a Cronic Pain The Rivera brings me down on Mondays
  4. Panther Defense Need to Attack The Left Side http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/818/pff-colin-brown-earns-worst-week-1-grade. The Buffalo Bills had an open competition at left guard during training camp to replace Andy Levitre, who departed through free agency. Brown After cycling several players through the position, fourth-year veteran Colin Brown was tabbed as the starter. He started all four preseason games and continued in that role for Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. But according to ProFootballFocus.com, which grades every player on each play, Brown finished with the worst aggregate grade of any in the NFL for Week 1. When people said that the Bills' left guard spot was a problem area, they weren't lying, were they? Brown beat out Doug Legursky for the starting job (which isn't the hardest thing in the world to do) and promptly did his best to force his coaches to reconsider their decision. In a week that saw some terrible guard play, his took pride of place, giving up a hit and three hurries and being punished against the run. If you could see our grading sheet, you'd see a lot of "stood up at point of attack" next to the name of Brown, who was no match for Vince Wilfork.
  5. one way to fix it is having all our WRs healthy Domenik Hixon ‘felt good,’ but Panthers coaches left him inactive Wide receiver Domenik Hixon said he felt ready to go Sunday before he was placed on the inactive list by Panthers coaches. “I felt good, but decisions are not for me to make,” Hixon said Monday. “I went out and ran and it kept on feeling better and better. I felt like I was ready.” Hixon has been battling a hamstring injury for more than a month. It’s an injury that allowed him to play just once in the preseason after Carolina brought him in this offseason with the hope he would become the team’s No.3 wideout. Sunday against Seattle, Carolina had just four active wide receivers, and Steve Smith and Ted Ginn Jr. were the only receivers officially targeted. Brandon LaFell had two passes come his way on plays that were negated by penalties. Armanti Edwards played just one snap – a designed quarterback draw. Coach Ron Rivera said Edwards could have been used in an emergency, but with Edwards also coming off a hamstring strain, the team wanted to be careful. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/09/09/4300765/domenik-hixon-felt-good-but-panthers.html#.Ui6R5jBBmRw
