  1. I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned but I think it might have a lot to do with Young’s height unfortunately. Young isn’t able to scan the field from under center pre snap. He simply can’t see. So he’d be dropping back blind on a passing play.
  2. Has a team who traded their following years 1st rounder ever finished with the leagues worst record?
  3. If we do end up with the 1st pick it’ll be because Bryce is that bad. So had we not traded up and say rolled with Dalton we wouldn’t have ended up with the 1st pick That’s how I’m choosing to cope with that
  4. We are 0-4 because of Bryce With average QB play this team is 2-2 maybe even 3-1 Those of you talking about years to develop or it’s only been 3 games are clinging to blind hope Do we even score 10 points tomorrow? Does Young throw for over 200 yards? This is where the bar is at for game 4… it’s ridiculous
  5. Man I wish we had Sam Howell right now. Washington would hand up the phone if you called asking to trade Bryce for Howell straight up
  6. Which QB falls out of the 1st round that you’d like to see taken at 33?
  7. As much as we all can’t stand Frank he’s coddling Bryce for a reason. Eventually we’re going to see why. I really hope it’s not Darnold bad. They coddled the crap out of him and every time they gave him some freedom it instantly backfired
  8. I don’t think he means intentionally tank. I think he means it might just happen with this staff, roster and QB that we end up with the 1st pick overall in 2025. Let’s say this all blows up this year. New staff, a lot of roster turnover again after this year, new scheme and Bryce. It could happen… The way a lot of these contracts were structured and the inclusion of DJ into the trade allows us to somewhat “recover” in 2 years if this all didn’t work. This is honestly such a damn mess already it’s crazy.
  9. I’d say our best hope is 2025. A lot of the awful contracts handed out this offseason are two year deals but in typical Panthers fashion that won’t come without a dead money hit in 2025 The way this thing seems structured and I assume it was unintentional because no one in that building is smart, we could have a new fresh start in 2025. This staff, offense, QB etc it isn’t good. Some think we haven’t reached rock bottom yet and I agree we haven’t. Im just hoping rock bottom brings us the 1st overall pick and 2025 and we get to do this all over again
  10. For the first time in a loooooong time I feel the exact same way. I was excited about this season but that came to a screeching halt. As long as Tepper owns this team it’s going to be like this.
  11. 3 games? He’s been a top recruit playing QB his entire life. Being smart is literally the ONLY reason he went 1st overall. The mistakes he’s making are super concerning
  12. It was a damn layup. In a situation where we needed 6 with 2 plays left in the game. The play was called for Theilen to get 6 there and it was there. Again, this was supposed to be a strength of Young’s. He comes in below average in so many other areas that if his one strength isn’t going to carry over he is doomed.
  13. Considering all they’ve done is tell us how smart Bryce is and how much they’ve been able to put on his plate it’s becoming quite obvious which one it is
  14. Deemed uncatchable because his route running has been all over the Damn place or he slips coming out of his break
  15. Yep and you can’t tell me a guy like Chark can’t get deep. He’s been doing it since he came into the league.
  16. Acknowledges the OL struggles, the lack of speed on the perimeter but also says Bryce needs to be better. And that’s just the truth
  17. Welp there it is. Like a few of us had pointed out earlier, JT says the Theilen double move is absolutely there and that ball has to be thrown. Says Minnesota gave us a gift Maybe those in denial we’ll listen now that it’s coming from JT JT even goes as far as saying he feels bad for Theilen here
  18. How hasn’t he? He should’ve started the second he finished playing Kansas St. He spent more time trying to retain water in the days leading up to the combine than he did trying to gain real weight all offseason I get that he was super busy with appearances and etc but all that goes away if you’re not successful in the NFL. In order for him to give himself a chance at that he needs to add weight. He’s a professional athlete and calories/working out are part of the job At some point he might seriously want to consider taking the CMC route
  19. Given Young’s limitations athletically, it’s even more important he gains about 15 pounds. It blows my mind for someone who’s apparently super smart that this wasn’t his focus this past offseason In order to buy time and hang onto the ball he’s going to need to get bigger, faster and stronger. He’s simply not good enough the way he is right now
  20. The worst part about this is we absolutely HAD to have a touchdown here. It was the end of the game. So what? You didn’t like this look and thought you’d get a better on 4th down? No chance. As soon as the ball was snapped you could tell if Theilen got his guy to bite (he did) on the first move it was a layup for a touchdown.
