  1. Hunter intrigues me... However, due to his off field incident back in July I doubt he'd be on Gettleman's radar. He's obviously been somewhat of a bust so far but like Ted Ginn, I think Hunter would really benefit from Cam's strong arm.
  2. AJ wouldn't have taken reps away from KB. They could've had AJ move to the slot and had Funchess slowly work his way in. I really don't see how having depth at a position like WR is a bad thing. People are expecting way too much out of Funchess right now, DF isn't going to bully his way to 1000 yards like KB. I'm actually worried that due to the lack of depth Devin is going to be in over his head this year and it may hurt his development. As it stands right now he's the one going to be going up against the other teams #1 CB. Last year we all watched as Brenton Bersin killed not one but TWO promising drives in the 3rd quarter in the playoffs against Seattle. Depth isn't a bad thing! For the record I'm not blaming BB, I'm blaming the coaching staff for putting him in a position he was never going to succeed in. That's why I don't want him making the team this year, I don't trust this coaching staff.
  3. The "name some" crowd is always my favorite. Stevie Johnson, Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Kenny Stills, Mike Wallace, Michael Crabtree are all players that were available at some point in the offseason. Every one of these guys would've been worth a look imo and would've been a solution to our problem right now. Instead here we sit desperate (anyone with eyes can see that) for a WR. As for guys available now I'd take a chance on Denarius Moore, Kenbrell Thompkins and I'd for sure be calling down to Arizona and see if they still want to trade Michael Floyd.
  4. You could try taping your wrist. I broke my wrist when I was younger and I immediately took of the cast and it never healed properly. So I tape my wrists at the gym from time to time and it helps.
  5. I'm starting to get excited about Marcus Lucas, obviously he needs to work on his blocking but that'll come as he continues to add weight (I assume he's trying to add weight as he was 218 coming out of Mizzou as a WR). Lucas is only 23 years old and doesn't turn 24 until next year. I think Lucas has the potential to be a nice recieving type #2 tight end.
  6. If Michael Floyd is still available you make the trade, not even Stevie Wonder is too blind to see that we need a WR! Would hate to piss away this year because "the answer is on the roster" bs
  7. Allen Robinson with 3 catches for 64 yards already tonight... How Gettleman passed on this kid ill never know
  8. Remember guyzzzz... We just have to be positive and blind and the rest will take care of itself!
  9. @AaronRodgers12: Can't wait to see what my Espn QBR was from practice today. Glad they factor in clean handoffs and walk thru td passes b/c I was on point
  10. I don't belive in anything that doesn't involve bench press - Dom Mazzetti But yeah, got to do cardio man! It's amazing when I see these fat people coming to my gym and doing weights or abs and ignore cardio. I've stopped running (giving my knees a break) and started doing the stair climber 20 minutes before every workout. I think it's actually tougher than running. But if you're looking to get abs quickly, take some anavar, that stuff will shred you up in no time. Plus it's what's left out of the article when the author says this is what body builders do leading up to a comp. But seems like a solid workout plan, I enjoy doing full body workouts vs one muscle group a day.
  11. This is what makes Cam special, how many times has he extended drives and made plays when it looks like there's nothing there? Cam is a playmaker and you take the good with the bad. Lucky for us the good outweighs the bad and it's not even close.
  12. I hear Mariota hasn't thrown a INT all camp... I guess that means he'll probably go the whole season without throwing one right? Plus, it's not like we have this great defense or anything... I'd be more worried if this defense wasn't making plays.
  13. There's a difference between being optimistic and being delusional...
  14. Someone has to bring some of you guys back down to earth. If not, we'll get "Start DA" and "Fire Rivera" threads in September, which will lead to another classic "Meet me in South Charlotte" thread
  15. I can't remember what his INT looked like in SD last year but his 2 in KC vs SD (last game of the year) both came in hail mary type situations I believe. One at the end of the half and the other at the end of the game. Just going off memory so I could be wrong but just going off his INT's isn't a great way to determine HIS coverage ability. But nice to know he ranked 26/87 you're right, not as bad as I thought
  16. Shaq needs to stay healthy and get all the reps he can get! He'll get to see Gronk week 3 during the preseason and will immediately be put to test week 1 against Julius Thomas
  17. Um I'd argue both safety spots are still weaknesses. Coleman and Harper both lack in coverage which is something that's hurt us over the last few seasons as well. Hopefully someone steps up opposite of CJ on the other end. Alexander and Addison seem to be the early favorites for this. If Remmers is starting at RT that could be a weakness (really hoping Williams wins this job), he struggled in the playoffs. Funchess is a mystery right now, I feel like he'll flash at times though this season. And of course like others have mentioned Shula... It's clear by now he simply isn't capable of adapting to anything. Forgot about Gano as well, I'll never trust this guy in clutch situations. We have solid pieces and I think this team is capable of winning but to say LT is our only weakness is a bit of a stretch.
  18. Considering Oher doesn't have a solid résumé to fall back on this should be a little concerning. Many of us were aware of Oher's past performances and weren't thrilled with this signing, I was just hoping now that he was healthy he could at least be serviceable. Like TheRed said, the fact that Chandler is the backup is even more concerning.
  19. @BlackBlueReview: Michael Oher strrruuugggllliiinnnggg today Shocker
