    There’s still a small part of me that thinks maybe the 49ers have been so hush about taking Fields because they didn’t want the Jets to second guess their decision.

    As much as I want Horn, I think I’d rather see Fields drop to 8 so I can see what happens. Does Rhule get the trade done and submitted before Tepper drafts Fields... I hope Rhule has BB on speed dial

    DJ had us taking Simmons last year in his final mock. Simmons wasn’t in the final discussion at 7 last year. It was Brown or trade back and Simmons wasn’t a trade back target either

    Did I miss something about them saying they planned to pick up the option? All they’ve said at least publicly to my knowledge was that they’re focused on the draft right now

    Picking up his 5th year option before the draft when we don’t have to makes no sense. It only further tips their hand that they’re potentially bluffing on drafting a QB at 8

    Picks 1-7 still have to fall a certain way for it to be Horn but I feel they most likely will. At this point it’s pretty clear which 7 guys are going to be taken. The only thing that could throw a wrench into these plans is if all 5 QB’s go in the first 7 or if someone wants to trade up for Lance/Fields at 8

    Coaching plays a role in a young QB cutting down their turnovers. Baker was put in a much better situation this season. Play calling matters.

    Baker finally flipped the switch this season. Even with the talent he had around him the previous years they had zero coaching. Stefanski turned that mess around real quick. If our coaching staff is as good as they’re supposed to be then getting a guy with the skill set that Darnold has should give us a pretty good chance at turning him around

    Being handsy isn’t a bad thing. All good corners are handsy. The elite ones know how to get away with it

    I think he ends up being our pick in a trade back scenario. Assuming his back passes the medical of course
