I’m willing to give up just about anything to move up and grab our guy this draft but our OL was so damn bad last year. Like worse than anything Sam had in NY bad. So I can understand why Fitterer would want to see Sam behind a competent OL. Today will tell us a lot. At some point Sam is going to have to make a play or two. All the talk about Sam beyond this year is premature, we’ll get our answers with these next two games

For me it’s tricky because yeah, you obviously want to see those things but if he does show those things it’ll cost us a couple 1’s to trade up and get him. So I kind of want to see him struggle so it leads to more questions and him falling down boards and falls into our laps. But then again, I thought for sure after Fields put on a show against Clemson he’d be long gone by our pick

Well if they keep winning we’re going to go this route again After seeing what’s happened to the teams who gave up 1st rounders in this years draft I think teams will be very reluctant to do that this year If we end up winning the division or even 1/2 of our remaining games it’ll be a steep price to pay to move up in the draft. So they’ll pivot to trading for someone again

As of right now they’re right behind us. But you can easily make a case that every team in front of us could go QB. I assume AZ won’t because of Kyler’s contract and Chicago has fields. Other than that everyone else needs a QB
