Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
*FreeFua* replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I’m looking forward to watching him Sunday. The first 4 games they didn’t ask him to do much so it was tough to see if he made any progress at all. However on Sunday I thought he played really well. He went through multiple reads/progressions on numerous occasions. Used his eyes to manipulate defenders on others. The Moore TD and the ball to Ricci immediately come to mind Hes played 5 games now without Gase or Rhule as his HC and they brought him along slowly the first 4. So yeah, I’m curious to see how he looks Sunday in New Orleans -

I’m willing to trade the farm to get our guy at QB this offseason but I can’t put either of those fumbles on Sam Sam wasn’t expecting the snap on the first one and the second Ickey was beat so cleanly Sam had no chance -
Yeah so I guess they could play tomorrow then but that ain’t happening 3 games in 11 days is wild to me still

Jim gets John to send over Lamar

Yeah like would hotels and airlines allow for full refunds due to this? There’s just sooooooo many things that pushing everything back a week would impact. Even playing the game tomorrow… to play again Sunday then again the following week (Saturday - Monday) That’s 3 games in 10-12 days with the 3rd game being their playoff game… that’s jeopardizing players bodies big time
-
Didn’t the Bills already go back to Buffalo last night? Once you factor in days off between games and not having anymore bye weeks I’m not sure how you get this game in I think their best bet is to just call it a tie or cancel game. I’d imagine both teams would be ok with that result versus playing a playoff game on extremely short rest
-
Seriously. As if someone thought that was an option All the booking that has been done for certain dates. Especially playoffs and most importantly the Super Bowl… Like you said, they’d cancel that game before ever doing anything like moving things back a week

The wait for the 2024 QB class crowd will now be saying wait for the 2025 class. Didn’t even have to wait until next season

Lol at thinking it was Fitterer who passed on Fields

This is where those CMC picks come in handy for us. Although they’re not going to have a ton of value since SF may win the SB it doesn’t leave our cupboard bare which is important. We send our 1st this year (duh) and next years 1. Then we could send our second (keep SF 2nd) and a few of those CMC picks. It’s going to take a lot to go from 9 to 2 especially when leapfrogging a bunch of QB needy teams. Plus Chicago would be trading out of a spot in which they would be getting their number 1 overall player on their board. At some point they’re going to need to make a move for a QB and the time is now. Given where we are with our cap space situation a rookie QB deal is needed. We have a solid OL locked up along with some other decent pieces. With the right coaching this isn’t the worst situation a rookie could be stepping into.

Same And in order for the Falcons SOS to move them below us in the draft order Chicago and Washington would have to win while the Giants and Lions would have to lose Chicago winning would move them to 4. Plus Seattle then would hold the 2nd pick and could go QB. I think it’s important Chicago hangs into that 2nd pick for our sake if they want to trade up
-
I don’t think it’s possible for us to drop a single spot with a win Sunday Our SOS is at .474 while the lowest SOS of the 7 win teams is .502 SOS will not change that much with one game left

Hekker not practice onside kicks? That was awful
-
Wilks is so damn clueless The FG team should’ve ran out on the field immediately after the spike
-
Thank god
-
That’s on Ickey
-
Lol he’s f’n punting? Your defense is getting curb stomped
-
Yep. When there was about 6 seconds left on play clock it was obvious they needed to call a timeout
-
So Brian Burns is about to be our highest paid player Its time he f’n does something
-
Man seeing that replay… F’n dot. When Sam is truly comfortable and the OL does their thing the kid can play (I totally know I will regret posting this)
-
Well it was there
-
I think it’s time for a Terrace Marshall sighting
-
Felt like they were close to blocking the first one and had 2003 flashbacks Glad they got that one

Brian Burns and Jeremy Chinn have both been invisible today
