KB and the rest of the rookie WR class from last season has raised your expectation level for a rookie WR. I'll gladly take 700yards and 5td's from a rookie WR but Crabtree would've been insurance in case one of the rookies capable of that isn't there. Gettleman won't reach and we may not be in a position where WR is close to BPA when we're on the clock. If we signed Crabtree he'd immediately become our second best WR on our team and considering he's got better hands than KB he may have even been Cam's first look on a lot of crucial downs. Perriman at 25! Get it done Gettleman!

3.5-4 million a year for Crabtree is fair. Some of you rather win the cap space olympics rather than paying a fair price for a number 2 WR. I'd love to know Gettleman's end game here with the WR position. He felt like we lacked speed so adding Ginn may just be good enough in his mind.

I'm not so sure Gettleman takes Cam if he was our GM in 2011, I give Marty credit for that. I don't think we've seen enough of Boston in order to grade him just yet. I know Bene has played in one less game but in the 10 he played he's shown that he can play. Like I said Boston got abused in Seattle and I'm just not sold on him yet as our future FS (just my worthless opinion). I'm assuming you like Boston and most do on this board (UNC) so I just left him out for arguments sake.

But since you want to bring up DG's "eye for talent" in the later rounds ill play... 2013 4- Kugz (garbage) 5- Klein (serviceable, however Glanton did a better job once he came in due to AJ's injury) 6- Barner (garbage) 2014 4- Boston (going to tred lightly here since he's from UNC but I thought DG reached, Boston played well before getting abused in Seattle. Way too early to judge this pick though) 5- Bene (very solid) 6- Gaffney (injured, waived, lost) So leaving Boston out of this, he's gone 1/5 - 1.5/5 with Klein being serviceable. You would've been better off saying Gettleman has done a better job finding UDFA's or players off the streets/waivers. (Brown, Norwell, Glanton, Remmers, Fozzy) I know I'm missing a few others too

Most morons can put together a solid 3-4 round draft. The good scouts/GM's make their money in the later rounds. It's the difference between the teams that are competitive every year and the ones that aren't.
