You guys really undervalue the importance of being able to cover in Snow’s scheme. I tried telling you specifically @SBBlue that Jaycee going down would have a domino effect. It highlights his strengths and how he fits in with the Panthers scheme. Like I’ve said, Snow’s scheme is dependent on having guys in the secondary that can cover. Henderson can do that.

If you’ve ever watched a CJ Henderson interview that’s just who he is. I actually thought it went well. Got a small smirk about not being interested in Baylor and seemed to perk up just a tad bit when talking about his relationship with Cooper

Why are you expecting him to be inactive for the next few weeks? Henderson gave up one catch against Houston to Cooks. Great ball. And had a missed tackle on a screen pass to his man. We’ll find out VERY quickly how much this entire situation was on Jax or CJ. Rhule expects his corners to be able to tackle (see Donte). I’ve seen CJ make solid tackles before and it wasn’t a concern of mine during the draft last year. I totally understand when the game isn’t close and a players says “f that”. Could be the case with him in Jax. But we’ll find out quick.

This right here. And just to add to Arnold, obviously they preferred not to trade him but anytime you can flip a 2 year 6 million FA signing into a position of need (cornerback) you were willing to take in the 1st round in the previous draft, you do it every single time. The value was just too good to pass up. Even if this doesn’t work out the way we hope, it’s a shot you take.
