  1. Like I’ve said, if they don’t land Watson it won’t be due to a lack of effort. Voth retweeted the La Confora story from earlier today. But at the end of the day, the Panthers can only offer what they have. Other teams with higher picks than ours can potentially put together a more enticing package
  2. What is your max offer to Houston for Watson?
  3. I saw what you posted in the other thread if that’s the tweet you’re referring to?
  4. Nah, Voth is good. If anything he tries to help fans separate the truth from all the crap that gets put out there these days. Same goes for Josh.
  5. Bucky has Fields as his QB2. There’s no denying Fields talents. From his arm to his legs, overall he may be the most talented of the bunch. However hearing Rhule talk about what he looks for in a QB and emphasizes them being able to quickly process things is where Fields may lose them.
  6. Wilson is who I want but I just don’t see the Jets passing on him. He’s got a big arm with a great quick release and on top of that, not only does he have the accuracy but the ball placement to go along with that accuracy. My only concern is his body
  7. So instead you literally spend all of your time trying to convince others it’s not going to happen? Guess how much impact that ultimately has on what happens? At the end of the day, the Panthers are going to be aggressive. That much should’ve been made obvious to everyone when they were willing to part with their 1st rounder this year for Stafford. They will do everything in their power to land Watson BUT there are other teams with top 10 picks that can put together better packages than we can.
  8. Ellis calling others ‘middling hacks with no integrity’...
  9. you keep doing you. Like I’ve said, if the Panthers don’t land Watson it won’t be due to a lack of effort. That much I know.
  10. Watson isn’t a free agent. Just stop.
  11. For the right price, I’d take a shot on Darnold. All the tools are there and he has some sneaky wheels on him. The Jets have been a complete mess since he has arrived. There are definitely some concerns with his game but he is only 23.
  12. Fitterer needed to call Douglas regardless. It’s good for Fitterer to know where they stand with Darnold and if that 2nd pick is for sale
  13. With this years draft being such a crapshoot due to limiting scouting it may be smarter for them to hang onto Watson until after the draft. We could see a lot of trades this year for players already on rosters due to teams not valuing their 1st rounders as much. This is also wishful thinking from me. We could really use one more year worth of draft picks to solidify a solid core of youth for a QB to slide in and put us over the top.
  14. I’ve been thinking about this too and your guess is as good as mine. I don’t think it’s unrealistic for the 4 QB’s and the 2 LT’s to go 1-6. On the flip side I can see Lance and Fields both falling to us, Slater possibly being there too. It’s going to be such a unpredictable draft. I can’t imagine there will be too many teams willing to trade future draft picks to move up in this draft due to limiting scouting. I could see some teams willing to trade most of their later round picks to move up a few spots to get a guy who they actually know well. As for your initial question, my guess would probably be Chase. Between Miami, Cincy, Detroit and Philly one of these teams will probably take him.
  15. Houston’s ideal trade partner is the Jets obviously. If I’m Houson, I take Darnold, 2nd overall and another 1st +++. Then I trade back down from 2, collecting another 1st rounder and change. Joe Douglas has quite the decision on his hands. He had a nice first draft and with the draft capital and cap space he has, he could put together quite the team if he believes in Darnold
  16. I don’t think people realize just how sh!t his situation in Jax was. Somehow he went 6-6 in games he started in 2019. Minshew showed more than enough his first two years to think that in a proper situation and cleaning up a few issues he can be successful.
  17. Darnold and Minshew are two guys I’d be ok flinging at the wall hoping they stick. Both have shown good things, both are young and both are in terrible situations. Minshew has some lower body mechanic issues that if corrected, could lead to a successful career. He has dropped some absolute dimes over the last couple of seasons and is great when the play breakdowns As far as Darnold goes, he deserves a chance that doesn’t involve Adam Gase anywhere near the situation
  18. Here I thought there was going to be a link or something but instead I get some guy running his mouth
