  1. Watch those big back to back runs by Foreman and Chuba. Ekwonu was a big reason for them We have a really good one. Now it’s important we find our QB while we have LT locked down on a rookie deal
  2. No one expects players to tank, they’re playing for jobs. That’s not how it works. Jesus Christ
  3. Just lol at anyone trying to justify winning yesterday being a good thing All they’re doing by winning a few more meaningless games is positioning themselves to have to trade a ton of trade picks to move up in the draft or sign/trade another Darnold or Baker If we don’t land our guy in the draft we’ll do this exact same thing next season. It just pushes back our ideal competitive timeline by another year
  4. I’m open to dealing literally anyone but you cannot miss if you’re going to deal Burns. If Philly doesn’t include the Saints 1st rounder I hang up. It’s two 1st rounder + imo Then there’s the whole we’ll have to hit on a pass rusher in the draft bit of this equation too.
  5. Lol at DB being untouchable but you’re willing to trade Burns
  6. Wait till they do Shaq Although this is a massive mess it’s smart to get this all out of the way next year. No more kicking the fan down the road. We aren’t winning the super bowl next year and I hope they realize that. Get your rookie QB and absorb your massive dead cap hit
  7. Position value + contract (cap space) + our window to compete should absolutely NOT make Brown untouchable
  8. He’s the one im most open to listening to offers on from our “core” Again, if kept he’ll be needing a new deal by the time we’re ready to compete Derwin James type deal
  9. I think the guy we should be trying to net a 1st for right now is Derrick Brown Call the Jets up. They can pair him with Q
  10. Yeah, we can tag Burns the following year after next. Landing the number 1 pick and getting a QB is the only way to turn this thing around quick. No rookie QB and new HC are winning a SB next year so absorb all the dead cap hits. Then 2024 you have a ton of cap. With what we hope will be our franchise QB in year 2. Our offensive line will all still be under contract in 2024 (minus Elflein) I’d like to see them keep Burns because good teams always need a pass rusher but at the same time if someone offers up 2 1’s I’m shipping him out. One first isn’t enough imo. We won’t get two 1’s so he’ll stay put
  11. Same If you’re doing it you do it 100% Those two idiots might just mess around one Sunday with the defense coming through and we accidentally win. Then this entire plan goes to sh!t because Detroit and Houston most likely aren’t winning many more if any more games too
  12. Detroit and Houston are literally right there If we beat Detroit later this year we are f*cked.
  13. Even using the word “haul” is dumb These are all late round picks. The ONLY way this turns out to be OK is if we end up with the 1st overall pick. If we have to start throwing away some of these picks to move up then it’s just a mess again
  14. So they don’t get a 1st Man the dead cap does not match the return at all If they don’t end up with the 1st overall pick now it’ll be a f’n disaster
  15. I agree with your last part No rookie QB and new coach are coming here next year and winning a SB At best if we hit on our QB next in the draft we’re looking at being very competitive in 2025 (that’s best case scenario). Year 3 with our new QB and QB. The same year a new Derrick Brown deal would kick in. I’ll take the picks and new rookie deal with some extra cap space instead of a Derrick Brown contract I’m strictly talking Shaq, CMC and Derrick Brown. Burns, Chinn, Horn, unless someone is giving us the moon I’m keeping them. Although of those 3 I’m open to listening most on Chinn.
  16. So to you that’s worth giving him a big contract (he’ll want to be one of the highest paid DT’s when his time comes) and losing out on more picks when we’re essentially starting a rebuild all over and lack draft capital?
  17. What good will paying a non passing rushing DT a big contract when our hopefully franchise QB is entering year 3 of his rookie deal do? Brown’s value will never be higher than it is right now. The acquiring team will get him on his rookie deal with a 5th year option We aren’t going to be competitive next year. Brown will need a new deal by the time we are competitive again if everything goes according to plan. Burns will have a new deal then as well. Is it smart to have all that cap space tied up in 2 positions on the DL. Probably not. If Brown was getting to the QB then you’d have an argument He has 1 TFL and 0.5 of a sack this season. If someone is willing to give up a 1st rounder plus you have to do it.
  18. Cool? We are rebuilding. I like Brown, he’s coming into his own but he’ll be on year 4 of his rookie deal next year. I’ll take a 1st rounder + for him. Those picks and cap space not being used on a DT will come in handy when we’re trying to build something around our hopefully franchise QB on a rookie deal
  19. We play Atlanta twice in the next 4 weeks and I’m worried we might win one of those games which will absolutely f*ck us One of those games coming before the trade deadline. So trading off some of these guys needs to happen asap CMC, Shaq and I’m listening on Derrick Brown. Rookie deal who is coming into his own. A non pass rushing DT is a luxury we don’t really have a need for right now
  20. This is a no brainer Should've been doing this sh!t last year with guys like Donte but nope. Idiots thought we were winning the SB
