  1. He could have been the difference in the cincy game last year if her were on special teams for Harper. Obviously he is only going to play special teams. Dockery was hot garbage so this guy won't have to do much to fill the void.
  2. That's just the kind of thing I'd expect a bot to say
  3. I like DGB's body fat percentage. Could be a big boost to the team; Kelvin really hurt our WR corp in that department.
  4. To be fair, one of those TDs in the highlight reel was against Richard Marshall. I dont know if that even counts. I would trust that any competent GM will factor that in as a discount.
  5. Took a peek to see what our friends over on the seahawks board are saying. They don't seem too sure about this move. Lots of mixed feelings about giving up so much.
  6. I'm with you that talent demands money. Maybe not with you on the definition of "value". I don't think Bell is a value signing; there wasn't talent there. Although he was cheap, he didn't bring anything to the table. I don't think we should be signing big money players just to sign big money players.. but I also don't think we should sign piles of garbage just to say we saved a couple of bucks. I think constantly trying to get the best bang for buck leads to the opportunity improve the team and remain open to signing that good OT for 6-7 mil or to Keep your good QB, DT, LB etc
  7. I've already said on Hardy that the league is going to remain undecided until he signs with the Pats. They will then decide not to punish. He will have 20 sacks next season.
  8. ...that you can afford and still leaves you in a good position to make other moves to build the best roster you can. Every team has a fixed amount of dollars they can spend. If you are not trying to maximize utility/talent per dollar, you are not trying to build the best roster you can.
  9. Put me on the Britt/Shorts bandwagon. Just as good as some of the others and cheaper. I'd like Shorts but the size Britt brings can't be over looked.. as long as we think he has his head on straight.
  10. I'm seeing talk that Crabtree just signed with the Bills. Don't have a reputable link yet.
  11. Hangartner. Not sure how many years he was gone
  12. I think most of the country uses ACC teams to describe every shade of blue. Florida State Blue. Clemson Blue. Georgia Tech Blue. etc.
  13. I feel like we almost need some Bell and Chandler gameplay GIFs to remind people of how bad they were last year. Bell continually let his assignment through the line literally untouched. Like he would move out of the way, shuffle upfield and then look confused as to why there was no one around to block while Cam is getting tucking the ball and getting sacked. And chandler got steam rolled every other play. I think some have hit the nail on the head: this is at worst a bandaid that allows us flexibility in the line, free agency, and the draft.
  14. I dont think so. Obviously it would still be a possibility if Ginn wants to do special teams only. I'd think Simpson and Ginn kind of fill the same role in the WR department.
  15. 49ers sign Jerome Simpson. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12429374/san-francisco-49ers-sign-wr-jerome-simpson-two-year-contract I assume that probably means no Ginn for them.
  16. Nah, Hardy will stay firmly on the exempt list until the Patriots sign him. He will then immediately come off the list with no suspension. Maybe they will even get a compensatory pick for the rust that Hardy has collected by not playing for a year.
  17. 1st to mention dild..... damnit. fug me.
  18. So long, Greg. We hardly knew ye. Maybe he will go to the pats. I've got to think they start forgetting about long-term and doing what they can to get another ring before they have to replace their HOF QB. I really hope he doesn't break our QB.
  19. Better name than some alternatives but at the end of the day, you are still buying cheap poo.
  20. Ginn back would mean Bersin could save money on indigestion and blood pressure medication. Actually that might be true for the entire organization and half of the fans.
  21. These have to be locks Clausen at QB: Hands are too small to hold a football. Foster at RB: More career fumbles than TDs. Dwayne Jarrett: More career DUIs than TDs. Fua: the defensive equivalent to Bell at LT.
  22. Statue? I'm not holding my breath on this but if we are going to have Harper back, I would sure like to give him the benefit of an elite rush/run DE.
  23. 77 is going to jump off a bridge? Couldn't have come soon enough. Just kidding just kidding - he just needs to jump out of that starting spot.
