  1. This dude could be just as dynamic as Corderalle Patterson minus the return game. I just DO NOT understand why we dont use him that way.
  2. "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth." Keep this in mind as you scroll this dumpster fire of a forum. Most "prognosticators" on here want to write off a 20 year old who has been given an insurmountable task. And it sure as poo isnt going to help if most of the fan base turns on him after 3 starts. For those of you who want to keep some reason in mind, go look at Peyton Manning, Drew Brees or Josh Allen's stats thier rookie years. And for those who like instant gratification, look at Jameis Winston or Jared Goff. Great rookie seasons but lack luster afterwards considering where they were drafted. I could go on and on with examples, but if you need more then there is no help for you anyways. Sometimes it takes a while, sometime it doesnt. A good season early in the career means about as much as a terrible one. Bryce needs weapons, a Front Office who will help him and some fans with patience and perspective. Right now he has none of those. Lets change that shall we?
  3. You know, we are dependent upon a injury prone Chark, an old vet in Thielen, and two young unknowns in Mingo and Marshall to support Young. There was no reason we shouldnt have went after Hopkins and that and what we have now is 100% on Scott and the FO.
  4. I dont think the switch from 4-3 to 3-4 is the issue, I think its that we cant stop teams running on us. Granted Burns and Houston wasnt out there, but even last year we got torched on the ground and I dont see a pick or signing this offseason to correct it.
  5. So the guy who built this place goes COMPLETELY MIA when things got rough, then comes back and tells us to relax?? oh ok, thanks for that advice mr tik tok
  6. I mean Smith can still go off during preseason and make the team. Lets see what he can do in a game, who cares about updates from training camp....
  7. Smitty just RIPPING Rhule is awesome lol
  8. Colts or Texans games. Cool to see two young QBs battle it out, might be an early rivarly in the making...
  9. Jake is such a great dude! Wouldn't it have been cool if both Jake and Cam were able to do the interview with Bryce? Would have been just a wholesome moment between them. Super excited for the future!
  10. Can you feel that? That warm, cozy feeling? Feels kind of like when you pee in a pool and coat yourself in the warmth of your own piss……. I know I am not the only one... As many of us around here know, that feeling is hope, and it doesn’t come around a whole lot. Last time this happened the Panthers took an all time great. A MVP, record breaking QB who won our hearts after that opening game. But that time is long gone, we are back to square one. But this time with one of the best staffs in the NFL (if not the best), reliable weapons, a competent o-line, and a hungry, dynamic defense. If you are not as excited, hopeful and eager for Thursday night and this season as I am, then your brain-dead saints fan who loves giving more than receiving. The NFC South is up for grabs, and we are primed to take it! Be excited, happy for whoever we take, and support our team at one of the most hopeful and exciting times we have as fans of this team. The Carolina Panthers are on the clock, and are getting ready to put the NFC ON NOTICE!!!!!!
  11. Sometimes picking the first QB is worse/harder than picking 2nd. There is a lot of pressure to get it RIGHT and in that, comes a lot of second guessing. Panthers are panicking in that FO, just due to the pressure of making sure you get the right guy.
  12. Yeah feel the same, who's our 1st overall pick throwing to? Incoming TE screens to Ian Thomas!
  13. Josh Downs, this guy is a PRO already at WR. Runs crisps routes, comes up big on 3rd down and is a GAMER.
  14. Bro, TMJ since the first Bucs game is averaging 45 yards a game WITH THESE QBs. That would be basically a 750 yard season for a guy who is basically a rookie. I'll take that 10 times out of 10
  15. Reddick made his presence FELT. Burns just doesn't, seems to be a lot of sacks at times when momentum has already swung in our favor or the game is out of reach. I cannot think of one game in 4 years that he has TAKEN OVER the game and was the reason we won. And now we are going to HAVE to pay him big money for 9-12 sack a season that means nothing. And P.S. He sucks at run defense too
  16. High expectations come with a 23 mil cap hit next year....
  17. Doesn't look like we are getting Stroud or Bryce. I am 1000% on board with rolling with PJ and Corral next year, see how Corral does and then make your decision on the QB position next year. Reason being; - Not a fan of any of the QBs this year - Solidify another position through the draft or trade back this year - Potential to draft Drake Maye or Harrison Jr. (depending on Corral situation) next year I think it will ultimately come down to the HC, if its Wilks idk if he can afford another bad season but maybe he rolls with an offensive scheme similar to what we are doing now. And if we hire a new coach, he almost certainty will push to draft a QB this upcoming year.
  18. At what point will we realize Shaq is a bust. Dude has never stood out except for a few times a year when Luke was there to tell him what play was being ran by the offense. Good leader, average player, not worth 24 mil next year
  19. This screams college coach who thinks he can win with whoever, as long as everyone "buys into the system".
  20. With that logic than Julio Jones is no good, huh?
  21. Since 2018, DJ more is 8th in the NFL in most yards from scrimmage for a WR. Only behind the likes of Evans, Cupp, Hopkins, Diggs, Hill, Allen, and Adams. Dude has done the most with the least at the QB position and deserves every dollar IMO. On the other hand, Robby's extension in hindsight was premature.
  22. Maybe not the burning headline that would excite an ordinary Panthers fan. But when I realized who he was, standing beside his car at a small town gas station, waiting on his wife, I filled with joy. As I stood there I instantly time traveled back some 20 years ago listening to a Panthers game. See for me, listening to the Panthers on the radio meant EVERYTHING. I grew up in a religious household like most in the south. Which meant that church ran late and since my parents were active members it mostly resulted in them staying well after the service ended. Of course we also had to eat lunch as a family, most times away form the house and that meant getting home well after the 1pm kickoff time. I relied on Mick to get me through the 20 minute car ride back home, lunch at the local diner, and a screaming sister beside me in the car. Many times for lunch, I wouldn't eat. I would just set in the car refusing to miss a second of the game, NOT ONE SECOND will be missed! So with me sitting in the car alone, sitting in the church parking lot or wherever my family decided to be on Sunday, besides at home watching the game, Mick was right there with me. It oddly became a friendship for me, one that he knew nothing about. To me, Carolina Panthers football was and started with Mick. His commentary always lifted and excited me. I relied on him to be my eyes until I was able to get home and sit in front of a TV. Mick stood there at the gas station, taking a bite out of his snack with me grinning ear to ear thrilled to see him. He then swallowed his food and asked, "so what is your story?". It startled me as I could tell he genuinely wanted to know. After a 5 second pause that seemed like forever, his wife walked up and hopped in the car. I didn't want to interfere on their time as I could tell they were traveling, so I just told him how huge of a fan I was and thanked him for his time and service with the Panthers. But the truth Mick, is to that 10 year old kid now turned adult, you WERE the Panthers. You were a friend, you were excitement and you were heartbreak. When I think back on that time, Mick solidified my fanship with the Panthers. And for that I will always be thankful!
  23. I could see the Panthers drafting Ekwonu or Neal if they fall and signing Baker. We do have the CAP to have him and Darnold. Then Draft a QB next year
  24. So much of the success of a young QB is situation and luck. "Evaluators" are like Weathermen, they make educated guesses about a outcome that may or may not be true. I do commend the front office this offseason, they have built a offense that does put a talented rookie (which Pickett is) in a position to excel. It'll just be on him or whoever we draft, if we draft a QB at all. Time will tell
