Williams is 335lbs not 327. No one is saying he can't play tackle. At a position where athletism is needed and the knock on the guy is he is not athletic enough to play his natural RT position, why slide him to the athletic LT position?

I'm not going to pretend like I'm an expert in football but the main difference is the QB. A right handed QB will usually not quickly see someone coming from his left side because going through the throwing motion, his body is positioned in a way that he doesn't see guys coming from his non-throwing, left arm side. This teams usually put their best pass rusher on the QB's blind side, gambling he'll get there before the QB sees him. if Cam was left handed we would be talking about an athletic RT.

I think you're struggling with the concept. What you have is some random list of tackles in the NFL. My statement was how many TOP-RATED tackles are over 320? My list was closer to the top of the talent at the tackle position. If it's just about listing tackles you might as well add Byron Bell who sits at 340lbs.

not to harp on the size thing but Okung is a nice 310lbs. Though he only allowed one sack in 2014 he also fell off badly at the end of the year in run blocking. LT is hard to play.

With regards to Williams, you're right that he will struggle in pass pro and that is what is especially needed from him since we have a right handed QB.

thats why I said how many, you've listed 3 out of 32 and only two out of those are even over 320. Smith is 320, not over 320. The rest you listed come under 330. All the top guys like Veldheer, Albert, Staley, Thomas and Smith are all at or below 320. Williams' size at 335 couples with his lack of athletism is a disaster waiting to happen.

The coaches need to stop this bad experiment. He was deemed unathletic enough to play right tackle coming into the NFL and now they want him to play the most athletic part on the oline? How many top rated LTs are over 320lbs let alone 330lbs? Remmers might be the better one to try at LT but what do i know?

This only confirms my suspicions about Tre Boston. Dude was suspect to me last season. There were a lot of misses which would have gone for TDs had it not been another defender nearby. Got jobbed by Wilson during the season and the got jobbed by him again in the playoffs. Also DA seems to have fantastic chemistry with KB.

How anyone can say Mike Smith was not a good coach is beyond me. He has the best winning record of any coach in ATL history. He was AP coach of the year in 2008 and went to the playoffs every year in his first five years apart from in 2009, though he had a winning record. Being a rah rah guy on tv does not equate to being a good coach. In the end, Dimitroff left the roster bare for him. Just look at how many Smith era players were let go. Also it's no surprise Blank brought in Pioli to be in charge of the draft. Having said that if they can get their defense to apply pressure, not sacks on the front like SEA does, it may greatly improve their defense and with a solid QB like Ryan be back in contention for the NFCS.

I have heard Ron on more than one occasion state how there'd be competition for starting spots on the oline with guys back from injury. I'll not be surprised if Amini is back there somewhere knowing Ron.
