  1. You're right, until you begin to think well the extra 2million I'd get if I went for 42 in guaranteed money could be the money I could use to spoil myself by copping that bugatti...
  2. As has already been said. Drafting studs year in year out will be key unless of course Newton makes a very significant improvement in his play next season. ATL has given Ryan a big contract but still have a lot of cap space. They were also able to spend a lot last off season. They're problems seem to be bad drafting. On the other hand, the Saints are 20mil over the cap with big money due for Brees and can't afford any major upgrades this offseason. So there are examples to both sides, unfortunately the common denominator is that both those teams are not doing well since those big money contracts. I will contend that if ATL had stud players like Luke and Olsen etc, then that cap space they have may not be that big.
  3. I agree wholeheartedly with you. Very much true. Truth is Cam has had weapons since he's been here, better than some other QBs. However, Wilson still remains a poor pocket QB shielded by his team. Remember Golden Tate? Well he's tearing it up in DET. Fans always want to blame everyone else but the QB.
  4. Part of what I have been trying to say also. Since the initial ruling was set aside, the NFL basically has nothing to stand on to even begin to prove anything against Hardy.
  5. Depending on the finding, the punishment could be only a fine.
  6. Why are people pretending like there are rules governing Hardy's case? No one knows what will happen because there is no precedent!
  7. The exempt list is murky. It's very possible he could have been asked to stay away until everything was resolved.
  8. This is a better argument than saying that he got punished because he couldn't play a game he did not love. However, if this is your argument, someone could argue that the 13mil he was paid is good enough to cushion any potential future loss of revenue. Remember it wasn't a guarantee he was going to play better than the year before in order to earn him a big contract. He was denied a "chance", I doubt that chance will command greater than a 13mil compensation.
  9. That's what I'm trying to tell him. Until all that was finalized in an actual trial, anything the girl has said is hearsay. They can only hang Hardy on anything he said that was incriminating, nothing the girl said.
  10. Don't ignore the word "proof". It's important here. The NFL cannot suspend anyone based on hearsay, which will be the case of they go on the accuser's testimony alone. And that reality may not be a reality at all. It is why a judge overturned the private entity's decision in the Ray Rice case. The NFL's punishments in cases where it's not that clear cut are not final.
  11. Hardy loved the game so much all he kept talking about last offseason was how much money he wanted.
  12. i don't think the NFL can suspend someone for not reporting that his friend has been on coke and visited them. Without a trial, only Hardy's statement can be used against him, nothing the victim claims can be used because it's not proven. I don't recall Hardy saying anything to the effect that he and her had been doing coke. The black eye argument is weak if you ask me. Someone cried wolf and Hardy was the victim. Not his fault that the media jumped on the person crying Wolf's side.
  13. Just stop it already! NFL players are playing for money. There is a reason you don't hear players refuse big contracts and offer to play for league minimum.
  14. How're they going to prove Hardy was doing coke? I don't recall from the transcripts that Hardy admitted to his apartment being the site of a coke party. If I recall he said she had been doing coke all night. Was it before or after she got to his place? This is why without a trial it'll be difficult to do anything. Nothing has been proven.
  15. There are no rules for the current territory we find ourselves. I mean the NFLPA takes the NFL to court all the time because of these exact grey areas.
  16. Still can't mean she knew she would have to vanish. It will be the unspoken part of the deal. Happens all the time.
  17. The NFL will find it hard to discipline Greg as things stand now. No conviction and an uncooperative witness. Suspending him will basically amount to a witch hunt.
  18. If you are talking in regards to Winston, just google his name and add throwing motion. Here is one quote from yahoo sports. Anyone who knows what he is watching can see that long windup.
  19. Hard to tell at this point. We will definitely know by the end of 2015.
  20. You sound like this guy, only he is a Falcon fan and he thinks they also have 6 easy wins next year.
  21. I can't believe you took that post seriously. lol
  22. Mariota played without a playbook in Oregon. At this point, he will be a project but he has the arm. If he is smart enough to grow into a pro style offense, which would take some time, I would go with him over Winston. My issue with Winston is his throwing motion, he takes forever to wind it up, like Byron Leftwich. I doubt u have that much time in the NFL with the ways windows close quickly. That might lead to a lot of picks!
  23. Not according to Gin and Juice. Hardy was saving himself for his mega contract.
  24. Exactly. Most of the people who complain about looks are likely the same ones getting no pussy.
