  1. the one that put me in the hospital was VPX friction, one that I know you've taken without problems. Don't know if it was just the amount of caffeine or the yohimbine, but it did not jive well with having some coffee 12 hours earlier and not drinking well throughout the day.
  2. the first pre I tried gave me heart palpitations. Discontinued use, ended up okay. a few years later (back in june) I was a little dehydrated when I took one and ended up in the emergency room with headache, disorientation, shaking. The docs thought I was having a stroke.
  3. chipotle burrito... double chicken, rice, pintos, salsa, sour cream, cheese... ultimate bulking food? calories 1215 fat 46.5 g saturated fat 20g carbs 106.5g fiber 17g sugar 9g protein 92g Vit A 78% Vit C 33% Calcium 61% Iron 56% Squatted a new PR of 185x3 last night. Had to deadlift lighter yesterday because of it, though. Oh, and I might have said this before, but preworkouts aren't for me. Bad side effects eventually take hold within a couple of weeks. I have to find my motivation the old fashioned way, by looking at my sorry body in the mirror.
  4. This thread has been pretty quiet lately... y'all still grinding? bumped that deadlift PR to 245x5 last night. next week I'm going to attempt squatting 185. As easy as 175 has gotten in my working sets, I should be able to bang out at least 3 or 4 ATG. You know what the great thing about squats and deadlifts are? They'll immediately tell you what the weak link muscles are between your knees and your shoulders. For me, it's always been clear that my weakest muscles are my quads and spinal erectors. Love 'em, hope to be squatting 300/deadlifting 400 one day.
  5. I too set a new deadlift high water mark at 245x3 last night. Also, bodyfat calipers came in the mail today (that was fast). Semi-looking forward to getting a measurement tonight.
  6. It's nevar enough until I get up to 210 with 10% body fat!!!111

  8. I've been struggling to hold 180 unfortunately.
  9. Just ordered one of these from amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AN3UB/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_26725410_item when it's time to cut next spring, this should come in quite handy.
  10. after my workout yesterday, in the locker room. Weird little chubby asian guy walks in wearing nothing but a towel. Azn: Hey man, how's it going? Me: (not used to people talking to me in the locker room): uhh, good... Azn: Who are you with, man? Me: What? Azn: Who are you with? Me: Uh, no one? Azn: Oh, sorry for what I say. *holds out fist for a fist bump* Me: No problem, man (still as perplexed as ever) *fist bumps the guy* I leave, scratching my head. What the hell was that?
  11. hit 180 this weekend and also saw some striations on my delts. Not sure how that happens on a bulk.
  12. my shins are hurting just thinking about 20 miles
  13. just goes to show that if you're trying at all to put the fork down every once in a while, and get off the couch once every blue moon, you're doing much better than average. Everyone in this thread should instantly feel better about themselves.
  14. Saw this and it boggled my mind. The average american man is 5'-10" 195 lbs, average american woman is 5'-4" 166 lbs I'm bulking, weightlifting, taller than the average man, feeling bloated, and yet I'm still only about the 50th percentile for weight for my age range. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/bodymeas.htm http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_11/sr11_252.pdf
  15. Is it the HDR that makes them appear to glow, or is that just their sparkling personality?
  16. I've had an awful week. Lost a couple of pounds, still going to the gym but the workouts have sucked and energy level is low. sonofab*tch
  17. With a decent year, D-will should get up to 60 or better on the all-time rushing list.
