  1. Here's something weird. I work out fine pain free, but if I have to carry around either of my 30-35 pound kids in my right arm, I get pain shooting between my shoulder and sternum all day.
  2. Don't worry, I'm sure your wife didn't tell her that you have a small pecker just to make sure the girl doesn't try anything.
  3. Ok, will do, but that sounds bizarre. It's not like regular shoes provide much more protection. (my current athletic shoes have a mostly fabric upper)
  4. I'm going to be getting some Vibram 5-finger shoes for christmas. Can't wait to squat in them, I hear they're great for stability.
  5. Cheap, expensive, none of it mixes well. I have an immersion blender and drink it quickly.
  6. Nah, my balance is pretty good and I don't use weight gainers or anything like that. One scoop of whey per day and I don't even really need that to hit 160. My protein consumption is pretty even with respect to meat vs non-meat.
  7. I respond to it better than most people. It also reduces any joint pain I get, and DOMS gets so mild that I could probably work out every day if I wanted.
  8. Started back on creatine powder post-workout after about 6 months off, to battle some plateaus I've been dealing with over the past few months. Why have I been going without for so long? That PUMP That extra 3-4 reps per set 3-4 extra sets per workout Feel like Zeus descended from mount Olympus.
  9. I've heard of people squatting 3 times per week and it nearly kills them. 2 ought to be okay though, I would think.
  10. thanks to my wife being out of town for two weeks, then thanksgiving the next week, I hadn't done a real leg day in a month... until yesterday. Ouch
  11. my gym got bought by another gym a couple of months ago. Since then, the crowds have been almost unbearable.
  12. Migraines stopped me from working out yesterday and cut me short two sets into a workout today. Yayyyy

  14. My wife has been in boston since monday, so being with the kids has forced me to do some p90x routines at home. They're much easier than I remember them. Going to try to sneak out of the office early today to squeeze in a gym session before picking up the kids from daycare.

  16. you know what sucks? Looking at strength standards here: http://exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.html and seeing that after 7 months of lifting, I'm still not quite at the 'novice' level in squats and deadlifts. Time to start squatting and deadlifting 3x/week. I'm squarely at novice level for press and between novice and intermediate for bench press.
  17. I cut down a couple of pounds last week, but I'm ready to make a run at slow bulking to 185. Last night I benched 185x3, but It was also like my fifth set. Had I done it in an earlier set, I probably could've gotten 7 or 8.
  18. Bulked up Jase looks just like skinny jase, lol.
  19. So last night I was sitting on the couch and my wife straddled my lap to talk about something. She said something I didn't like, so I effortlessly stood up with her still in my lap and easily put her down on the couch. Squats.
