Fully agree. You take Davis away and that's a blowout. He had a few guys drop some passes who were wide open by NFL standards.

Wow really? I didn't catch that. I thought he looked slow on one block that lead to a sack. But a lot of lineman will look slow with our rushers.

I would agree with you if we were up by 30, or even 20. If that was our thought process with that small of a lead, then we are in trouble, because that means our coaching staff doesn't get it.

Yeah, it felt like we were playing "not to lose" instead of playing "to win". This was what I hated about the Rivera Era. I really want to get away from that.

With this defense, I think anything is possible. Assuming that we improve each week, which I fully expect us to do, then we should beat them in our first match. Then, the second time we play, it is right after a bye week. So we should be well rested.

For a young, electric, top 3, franchise QB. I am right here! lol! If Watson didn't have the stuff hanging over his head, I'd still be up for it. CMC was the best player on the field yesterday and usually will be. But the importance of the QB position is not debatable. I would rather have Watson throwing to DJ, Robbie, Marshall, and Mike Davis; than Sam Darnold to CMC all game every game. It's just not a sustainable way of playing.

Agreed. And that was part of my point. We were all over him and I really did not see a lot of mistakes. That pick by Shaq, probably would have been a pick by Horn if Shaq wasn't there, but he def looked like he belonged out there (WITHOUT QUESTION). But totally agree, the Jets won't go far with that line, especially without Becton.

If we don't get another kicker I'm gonna flip. You don't trot your kicker out there in this position it screams that you don't trust him. Might as well get someone else and keep that pick.

I have to agree. He looked good to me. We were in his face all day, it's his first game, and he was down 0-16 at one point. That last TD was placed on the money. Horn played great in coverage and it didn't matter. Just a great throw. Dude is good. Jets should be excited for the future.

Yeah, I think my biggest gripe is running CMC into the dirt. It is a 17 game season now, we have got to find ways to get other players the ball. Even if we have to lose a few games to do it, we have to get more comfortable looking elsewhere. If not, we are going to lose CMC. We will not win consistently with that gameplan. We don't play the Jets every week, and I'm not sure we would win every time then either. Wilson looked good. Avoided like 3 sacks on one play, they got something to be excited about. Just to throw this in. I really didn't like the number change early this year. But Carter and Shaq looked awesome in single digits. lol! We should add the number change to the Walk of Fame. Haha!

I think we have a really good shot if we get at Winston like we did Wilson. GB looked horrible. There was one INT where the WR that was targeted didn't even run after the CB. He basically stopped and walked. He would be running all day at practice.

Wilson looked very good early on until the INT, then he struggled for a bit, but bounced back. We were in his face all game long and he made very limited mistakes. There was one play where he avoided like three sacks in the same play. They have something to be excited about.

That was early on too wasn't it? I remember that, my eyes got huge. lol! I couldn't believe it. I wasn't saying it wasn't a difficult catch, just one I believe he would have caught in preseason. I think he bounces back. Probably could have used better blocking on the screen he had, if I remember correctly.

I think this guy named Santoso is a free agent. We really need a new kicker.

I seen him miss one early. Sam threw it to his outside shoulder I think. It was a good throw, he just didn't catch it. It's his first game though and he was covered, but it was catchable. I think as time goes on he will emerge. Let him get one really good play and it will break the ice.

Just wanted to throw this is from the week 1 challenge post that I did. Man, sometimes I hate being right… Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints W (It pains me to do this and I hope I am wrong, but like Mac, it would be Love's first NFL action if Rodgers does not play. I do not know if Winston will be good all year, but I think he has a HUGE first game. Like, 4 TDS and no INTs type game. I don't think it stays that way, but I think he airs it out this week)

They need to protect him. He made some good plays, but he isn’t Cam’s size. He can’t take the same kind of punishment for as long.

I really do believe Wilson’s day was just as impressive as Darnold’s, if not more. I understand Darnold did better in the stat sheet, but Wilson balled. We were in his face all day long. Great job for a rookie’s first game and down by 16. Gotta give the dude some probs, made some big throws like the one where he was standing in the end zone. I don’t think there problem was ever QB tho.
