    Nobody makes me truly nervous but there are several teams I believe can beat the Canes. Rags/Florida/TBL/TOR/BOS would all be tough outs. All it takes is somebody going stupid in net like Bob last year.

    Also can anyone explain what playoff seeding looks like for the Canes if they finish 2nd in the Metro but hold the 2nd highest seed in the East?

    As of today, the team leads the league in PK% at 85.6%. Still 3rd in PP% at 26.5% for a combined special teams % of 112.1. Anything over 110 is generally considered elite. 112.1 is obviously the highest rated net special teams % in the league. This team is going to be a tough out in the playoffs.

    I’m going to have to watch the playoff games on demand, the day after, so I avoid this board, turn off notifications, and generally avoid my phone like the plague so I can pretend to watch the game live. Don’t think I’ll be participating this year. Maybe moving back to the states sooner than expected so next year I would love to play.

    We need to give them time to gel. It’s going to take some time for Kuz and Guentzel to acclimate to our dump-‘n-chase system and the rest of the team to be comfortable on a line with them as they learn their tendencies and build chemistry. Also, lines could look much different and more productive a few weeks from now.

    No, probably not at this point. Sucks, because you can see the player KK can potentially be. I’m just optimistic on Kuz. He has a lot of proving to do.

    Didn’t Rod and Kuz have great things to say about each other at the ASG a few years back? I remember Kiz being very receptive and enjoying Rod’s style as a coach. Small sample size.
