Heard Polian yesterday. Had good things to say about Howell but said he needs to sit for 1-2 years. -
He signed with the Steelers.

What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
ladypanther replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Keep Pounding is not just a slogan or a chant, it is much more important that that. It is the DNA of this franchise. Sam was the heart and soul of this franchise. Keep Pounding means something. It is about the heart of a team and it is about a warrior's battle for life. And it the inspiration for victory. It is the connection between the fans and the players that is more meaningful and stronger than exists anywhere else in the NFL. It is blasphemy to trivialize this as a slogan. A few years ago my brother in law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The prognosis of course was grim. I purchased a few Keep Pounding wrist bands. Sent one to my brother in law along with the story about Sam. It inspired him and he wore that wrist band every day. I did so as well to support him as did the family members I shared it with. He died wearing that wrist band. Just as Sam he fought a good fight. This is about life and perseverance. It makes it mean something to be a Panther and a Panther fan. It gives us all something in common with the team. When that chant goes through the stadium it is truly inspirational. It belongs only to us. I am going to write a letter to Tepper. I think this is important. -
He should give his opinion to Fitt or Rhule. Not post on social media.

So, what is happening here? This makes it sound like there is no known reason for the project to be stopped. Yet we have heard that Rock Hill, or whomever, has not come thru on their agreement/obligation. I am confused. -
He seems like a good guy...hope he has finally found his groove. He has at least $2mil of Dan Snyder's money. Good for him.

Slye had quite a busy year last year: 2021 season[edit] Slye signed another one-year contract extension with the Panthers on January 5, 2021.[19] Slye was released by the Panthers on August 28, 2021, after the team traded for Ryan Santoso.[20] Houston Texans[edit] On September 7, 2021, Slye was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad.[21] On September 11, he was elevated to the active roster following an injury to starting kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn.[22] In 3 games, he connected on 4 of 5 field goal attempts and 7 of 8 extra point attempts. Slye was waived on September 30, 2021.[23] San Francisco 49ers[edit] On October 5, 2021, Slye was signed by the San Francisco 49ers after an injury to Robbie Gould.[24] Slye was waived on November 2, 2021, after Gould's return.[25] Washington Football Team / Commanders[edit] Slye signed with the Washington Football Team on November 9, 2021.[26] In Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks, Slye suffered a hamstring injury after a blocked extra point attempt and did not play in the second half of the game.[27] He was placed on injured reserve the following day.[28] He was activated off injured reserve on December 25.[29] On March 16, 2022, the team placed a restricted free agent tender on Slye.[30] Slye signed a two-year contract on April 11, 2022.[31]

This is absolutely a tragedy and I can't imagine what his family is going through. To protect them there are questions that may never be answered publicly. I have to wonder...how/why does someone with a lot of money run out of gas? If I were to run out of gas or have car trouble on the interstate/highway...I would call AAA or whatever emergency service I have (my car insurance includes it for $11 a year). Why would anyone with a lot of means try to cross a busy interstate instead of calling a service... a friend... or his agent ? Whatever happened and the reason.... it is very very sad and is a life cut short way too early. I was pulling for him to get thing together and become a NFL success. I thought the Steelers and Tomlin were a good place for him.

I am shocked.

KC looking to trade up into top 10.

Some teams may be enticed by being able to get 2 5 yr rookie contracts...we might even get a late round pick thrown in. -
