You live close by...interested?? Or know someone who might be... -
Someone dumped off a pup...guessing about 8-9 weeks old at some unoccupied property not far from me. He is so cute and sweet....love him but can't keep him (already have 2 big dog rescues). If anyone is interested, please let me know. I have been feeding him and provided shelter . Would like to find a good home for him. Local rescues here are full. Not sure but he may have some lab...toes are webbed. Seems like a smart guy.

During a podcast earlier this week, sports media insider Andrew Marchand of the New York Post put the odds that Tom Brady actually calls NFL games for Fox at just “49%,” ramping up speculation that the legendary quarterback will not start his reported 10-year, $375 million deal in 2024. Apparently that is news to Brady himself. In a response to Sports Illustrated‘s story about Marchand’s prediction posted to Instagram, Brady issued a very clear response: “FakeNews.” https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2023/05/05/tom-brady-responds-report-he-wont-call-games-for-fox-2024-fake-news It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Would hate it if Greg gets screwed in all of this. Losing the #1 spot would cost him a few mill.

It was a lot of fun watching Luke outsmart everyone.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel still seems to be holding a grudge against the Eagles after Philadelphia beat his team in this past season’s NFC championship game. In a recent interview with Zion Olojede of Complex, Samuel expressed his “hatred” for the Eagles, and he went on to explain his belief that if the 49ers would have been healthy, they would’ve won. Samuel was asked about fellow 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s comment about the 49ers being “hands down” the best team in the league last season despite their disappointing loss in Philadelphia. Samuel agreed with Aiyuk’s comment, saying there was “no question” that his teammate was right. So, it sounds as if Samuel also thinks the 49ers are the NFL’s best team. He might not be the guy anyway). Hope Trey Lance surprises everyone in a good way. Unless they are playing the Panthers of course.

Time is running out on Bank of America’s naming rights contract for the Carolina Panthers’ stadium uptown. The bank purchased the naming rights in 2004 under a 20-year agreement for $140 million, or $7 million per season. The financial institution has been headquartered in Charlotte since 1998 after NationsBank’s merger with BankAmerica. It’s unclear if Bank of America will renew the contract. A bank spokesperson said there’s nothing to report at this time. Today, the average stadium naming rights deal across the country is about $14 million a year, Depken said. He expects the new contract for the Panthers stadium to cost about $10 to $15 million annually. Last year, insurance company Acrisure paid $10 million per year for 15 years to be the name on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ stadium. Also last year, the Cincinnati Bengals and Paycor signed a deal worth for $12 million a year for 16 years. Other stadium deals have doubled and tripled those numbers. In 2019, Social Finance Inc. paid more than $30 million annually over 20 years to put its name “SoFi” on the new stadium for the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. The same year, Allegiant Airlines paid $25 million per year for Las Vegas Raiders stadium rights. Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article275007936.html#storylink=cpy

My guess is 1) He did not want to put in the work and 2) He did not want to have to compete with Greg and 3) He already has a plan for making up that money.

Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages · hope noun 1. a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Or dictionary.com hope noun ...the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best: Well, that does not sound too dangerous. If you cannot handle hope, especially with something that is entertainment, it must be a tough way to live. -
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/04/30/commanders-offseason-ron-rivera/ Washington replaced two of its top position coaches, Chris Harris (defensive backs) and John Matsko (offensive line), with their assistants, Brent Vieselmeyer and Travelle Wharton, who have never run their own rooms. Wasn't matsko supposed to be a good Oline coach?

Rookie Mini Camps (May 5-8, May12-15): Teams have two options for dates to run three-day rookie minicamps. May 11ish...2023 game schedule announced? League Meetings (May 22-24): These meetings are more focused on the on-field NFL product than the earlier owners meetings. Various rule changes both on and off the field will be discussed. This provides referees and teams ample time to learn and prepare how to deal with any potential changes to how the game will look on the field or how front offices will operate off of it. June: June 1 Tender (June 1): This one gets a little technical, but when you hear that a player is designated as a "post-June 1 cut," they don't actually have to be held onto until this date. Teams can submit a tender by this date, which changes the accounting of dead cap hits (deferring some of the money to the following season). Teams can officially start Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamps in June. This marks the first time teams can require everyone on the roster to attend. These are non-contact practices to avoid serious injuries and are much more about learning the playbook, figuring out player roles, and getting an overall foundation set for the upcoming season before actual training camp begins. July: While there is no specific date set for every team on this one, late July always spawns the opening of training camps for all 32 teams. Practices become more intense and the rosters start to get whittled down to the final 53 men that will take the field in Week 1. Franchise Tag Deadline (July 15): Any multi-year contract extension with a franchise tagged player must occur by July 15. After this date those players will only be eligible for one-year contracts, which can't be extended until after the team's final regular season game. August: Physical Examination Deadline (August 1): This is the final day for teams to determine a player's eligibility from a physical standpoint and ensure the health and safety of each player prior to the start of preseason play. Hall of Fame Game - Jaguars vs. Raiders (August 4): This the NFL's first preseason game for the season, and is held in Canton, Ohio. In 2023, the Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Las Vegas Raiders. Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony (August 5): The day after the Hall of Fame Game the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame class will be officially enshrined. Preseason Week 1 (August 11) 85-Man Roster Cut (August 16): Teams will have to cut down their rosters to 85 players combined on the active/inactive list. Preseason Week 2 (August 18-22) Preseason Week 3 (August 25-28) August 30 is when all teams will have to make their final cuts on the roster to bring it down to 53 players. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thursday, September 8...let the games begin.
