Thought he was looking for a ring...soon.

The title of this thread should be about the new sponsor..not the new name. The name will be the sponsor. BOA's contract runs out 2024. I am sure there are negotiations in process with a few big businesses but ho hurry. If the Panthers do well this season and Bryce looks like the real deal...the price/bidding will go up. I just hope it is not something stupid like that golf tournament that became something Wastewater... Money is king.

Should the NFL be looking into this? An ayahuasca trip lasts around five hours, per Araujo, the first 30 minutes marked by a feeling of calm or sleepiness before the psychedelic effects kick in. The most prominent effect is visions. “In ayahuasca, the visions, most of the time, come with your eyes closed,” Araujo said. “Very intense with very different natures and contexts. It can vary from geometric images to a conversation with someone that you know. … A lot of times people feel as if they have died, and then they are reborn from that experience.” https://nypost.com/2023/06/23/inside-how-aaron-rodgers-favorite-psychedelic-drug-works-its-wonders/ So..how many kids and unstable people are going to try this because Rogers said it is wonderful. And what could go wrong during a 5 hour trip where you feel like you have died? What if they are already taking something else or are on medication? IMO this is reckless and dangerous and could lead to tragedy if the wrong person tries it. Rogers should just keep this sh#t to himself. And oh, by the way NFL.... Psychedelics are illegal at the federal level. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/37899000/aaron-rodgers-pushes-acceptance-psychedelics-conference

When there was a lot of talk about Rhule coming to the NFL...I watched a few minutes of a Baylor game. Saw him wearing that awful smock. My thought was I do not like him. Just did not get a good feeling. When he became the HC here I was hopeful because as @Donald LaFellsaid...I am a fan. Obviously my 1st instinct was correct.

Plus...a link to Smitty's comments on Rhule: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/02/03/panthers-steve-smith-sr-matt-rhule-thought-he-was-in-college/ “Now, I’m listening to him make this whole media tour,” Smith Sr. said of Rhule. “He’s talking about what kind of coach he’s gon’ be, what kind of players he want. I find it very interesting . . . Mr. Bojangles over there changing his tune now in Nebraska when I saw him up close here in Carolina and I’m going, ‘Wow, this dude is a college coach trying to run an NFL team like these his boys.’ He thought he was in college. He thought he could control everything. “Man, I heard so many stories about Matt Rhule and what he was trying to do and orchestrate. He thought he was at college where he could tell the ticket office what to do, he could tell these guys what to do, ‘Hey, I need these guys to be on advertisements, I don’t want these guys. These guys are okay to interview, these guys are not.’ “And people are starting to write reports and articles about what we’re saying on our podcast, so ‘preciate it. I thank you. But I’m telling you, Matt Rhule did some things in the pros that he thought he was in college and it didn’t fly well.”

Did another Carolina Panthers player just throw another thinly-veiled shot at former head coach Matt Rhule? Well, it sure sounds like it. A few weeks ago, it was tight end Tommy Tremble, who stated that this spring is the first time he’s felt like he and the team have been “coached up.” And on Wednesday, it was punter Johnny Hekker, who said the following about new head coach Frank Reich and his staff during his interview on 104.9 Fox Sports Upstate’s Game On with John Ellis: “There’s no guessing going on,” he stated. “You know the information that you’re getting is vetted, tested, coming from reliable sources. I mean, really generational coaching lines have started with some of the coaches on our staff, and there are some that are up-and-comers from other coaching trees that are on staff, too. “Coach Reich has been an incredible leader thus far and just a real clear communicator of what he expects from us, what he wants from his coaching staff, how he wants us to collaborate and, really, approach this season of growth together. He realizes—just like any good team or organization or company—in order for you to become a success, everyone has to be communicating clearly, openly and honestly.” ........... Hekker continued: “So I think that, really no matter what way you look at it, players aren’t guessing, ‘Does this coach really know what he’s talkin’ about and does he really have my best interests in mind?'” https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/06/22/panthers-johnny-hekker-frank-reich-matt-rhule/

Former Bucs QB Shaun King talks about the current QB "competition." Kyle Trask stinks," King directly said. "Listen, if Kyle Trask had done anything in practice during his two years backing up Tom Brady, Tampa doesn’t go out and sign Baker Mayfield. He’d have had to have been terrible in practice. Because when you draft a quarterback second round, you want to be right. (General manager) Jason Licht wants that pick to pan out." Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said last week he may not announce a final decision until after camp concludes, but outsiders sound convinced there's already little drama regarding that choice. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/former_buccaneers_qb_shares_blunt_kyle_trask_baker_mayfield_analysis/s1_13132_38944262 lol...Bowles wants to play this out. Guess he was impressed with the way what's his name handled the Panthers QB competition last year.

Aaron Rodgers speaks about psychedelics and how it 'unlocked that whole world' for him Rodgers described taking ayahuasca with his teammates as “radically life-changing,” and claimed many other pro athletes have reached out to him. “I found a deeper self love,” said Rodgers of his ayahuasca experience. “It unlocked that whole world of what I’m really here to do is to connect, to connect with those guys, and to make those bonds and to inspire people.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports/aaron-rodgers-speaks-psychedelics-unlocked-whole-world-rcna90574 Just what Rogers needed...more self love.

It would suck to be a Bills fan...and they have some long time devoted fans....to be excited about a new stadium and then find out you might lose you season tickets. Just do not understand the thinking. Seems to be yet another example of how a lot of rich people (most of them I am guessing) don't give a sh#t about anyone other than themselves. Probably busy counting his money from the luxury suites...bet the number of those increased quite a bit.

The NFL announced the important dates for its upcoming league year on Tuesday. Here are some of the major dates to keep an eye out for: July 17 — At 4 p.m. ET, deadline for any club that designated a “franchise player” to sign such player to a multi-year contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior club for the 2023 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the club’s last regular season game. Mid-July — Clubs are permitted to open preseason training camp for rookies beginning seven days prior to the club’s earliest permissible mandatory reporting date for veteran players. A club’s preseason training camp will be deemed to have officially opened on the designated reporting date for all rookies. Clubs may require first-year players (defined as a player who signed a player contract with any NFL club in a prior league year, but who does not have a pension-credited season) to report on the designated reporting date for all rookies, or at any time thereafter, including, but not limited to, the designated reporting date for veteran quarterbacks and injured players, or the designated reporting date for all other veteran players. Veteran quarterbacks and “injured players” (as defined in CBA Article 21, Section 6) may be required to report to the club’s preseason training camp no earlier than five days immediately prior to the mandatory reporting date for all other veteran players, provided the club has already opened (or simultaneously opens) its official preseason training camp for all rookies. Beginning on the date that the first training camp opens for rookies through the last business day prior to the Super Bowl, all tryouts and visits will be reported to clubs on the personnel notice. Aug. 3 — Hall of Fame Game, New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns, Canton, Ohio. Aug. 8 — If a drafted rookie has not signed with his club by this date, he cannot be traded to any other club in 2023 and may sign a player contract only with the drafting club until the day of the draft in the 2024 league year. Aug. 10-13 — First preseason weekend. Aug. 29 — Prior to 4 p.m. ET, clubs must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players on the active/inactive list. Simultaneously with the roster reduction to 53 players, clubs that have players in the categories of active/physically unable to perform or active/non-football injury or illness must select one of the following options: place player on reserve/PUP or reserve/non-football injury or illness, whichever is applicable; terminate or request waivers with the designation of failed physical or non-football injury or illness, whichever is applicable; request waivers; terminate contract; trade contract; or continue to count the player on the active list. Players who are on the reserve list or exempt list and are not counting against the 90-player limit will begin to count against the 90-player limit. Aug. 30 — Claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will expire at noon ET. Upon receipt of the subsequent personnel notice, clubs may establish a practice squad of 16 players. Clubs participating in the international player development program may sign one additional international player to a practice player contract. No club, including the player’s prior club, will be permitted to sign a player to a practice player contract until all clubs have received simultaneous notification via the above personnel notice that such player’s prior NFL player contract has been terminated via the waiver system. Beginning at 4 p.m. ET, any player placed on reserve/injured, reserve/non-football injury or illness, or practice squad; injured during the regular season or postseason, may be designated for return later in the season, subject to the applicable procedures. Sept. 3 — Final day of preseason training camp for all clubs, as defined in CBA Article 23, Section 10. Sept. 7, 10-11 — Kickoff weekend. Oct. 1 — NFL International game at Wembley Stadium; Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars; London. Oct. 31 — All trading ends for 2023 at 4 p.m., ET. https://theathletic.com/4626052/2023/06/20/nfl-calendar-2023-2024/

Curious about why they would do that? Do they think there will be some attrition because of the PSL thing?

Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation by Miami-Dade police for assault and battery after he allegedly hit a man on Sunday. The incident was first reported by WPLG-TV in Miami after the station received a tip Sunday night. Miami-Dade police spokesman Angel Rodriguez confirmed Tuesday via email that police are investigating an “assault/battery” involving Hill from Sunday. The station reported that Hill got into an argument with an employee of a charter company at Haulover Marina in Miami, which apparently ended with Hill hitting the man. “We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL,” a Dolphins spokesperson said Tuesday via email. “We will reserve further comment at this time.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nfl/2023/06/20/tyreek-hill-investigation-miami-dolphins/e48f6004-0fd2-11ee-8d22-5f65b2e2f6ad_story.html
