Tryin’ to make a roster out of Fitty cents (A Horn and a tackle)
ladypanther replied to SCP's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hey there...where you been? -
Have you ever seen someone get hit by a truck?
ladypanther replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Also...can you see if Tremble is used in the passing game...he catches a pass and then .......what does he do to a would be tackler? This team will have an attitude. Would make Luke and TD proud. -

Jerry Richardson's grandson. Am wondering how he has survived to this point and also wondering why he wanted to be here. Anyone know anything about him? OK...so I tried to check him out...found this: https://theathletic.com/623170/2018/10/31/the-richardson-name-got-him-the-ball-boy-gig-but-matt-allen-has-moved-up-the-panthers-organization-on-his-own/ He seems to have earned the respect of some. This quote from Gross was complimentary of Allen but otherwise interesting (note...this article was from 2018)

Panthers interviewing Morgan, others for Assistant GM job
ladypanther replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep..remember that too. He was cool and very nice to chat with. I would love to have him back home. -
Luke Kuechly has resigned from the Panthers scouting staff
ladypanther replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If I remember correctly Chin mentioned how much Luke had helped him. Luke will be missed. I hope at some point he can find a role with the team that works for him. I would be very happy if he is a consultant. -

That sucks. Wasn't he around for the Davis/Olson retirement? -
Another opinion on our draft from Dator
ladypanther replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dator also mentioned that the Panthers have recouped what they paid for Darnold except for next year's 2nd round pick. Well....the way Fitt plays, my guess it is just a matter of time before he gets that one back as well.- 57 replies

I think it is great that KC has not allowed anyone else to wear his number. NIce that they still honor him. -

As we have read he is not only a great player but a very high character guy. So was his uncle...an NFL running back who died trying to rescue 3 children from drowning: Joe Alton Delaney (/dɪˈleɪni/; October 30, 1958 – June 29, 1983)[1] was an American football running back who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL).[2][3] In his two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Delaney set four franchise records that would stand for more than 20 years. His nephew is Terrace Marshall Jr. He was a two-time All-American athlete for the Northwestern State Demons football team, as well as a track and field star. Delaney played two seasons with the Chiefs and was chosen as the AFC Rookie of the Year in 1981 by United Press International.[3] Delaney died on June 29, 1983 while attempting to rescue three children from drowning in a pond in Monroe in northeastern Louisiana. He was posthumously awarded the Presidential Citizen's Medal from U.S. President Ronald W. Reagan. While not officially retired, his jersey number while playing for the Chiefs, No. 37, has not been worn since his death.[3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Delaney

Seems like a really great guy. That was a great presser. I hope his OT skills match his wonderful personality. -
Round 4 - Carolina Panthers select Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State.

"Olympic sprint speed"...wow -
Fitt said he has 150 players in his board,,,I think he wants them all.

Panthers have got to fix the LT problem. This draft needs to be about the Oline IMO. I feel better about Darnold if the team builds around him. If that happens, I think we have the coaches in place to help Darnold be a lot more successful than he was in NY.

Since Fitt says he has 1st round grades on 16 players...don't see him going to 19.

Lots of smart people think the Panthers could simply draft, say, Justin Fields and let the best man win. Well, that’s crazy for a multitude of reasons. The first is that you can’t develop two QBs within the practice-time straitjacket of the new CBA. The second is that they will have traded picks for Darnold and rather than support their QB, spent serious draft capital on a second quarterback. This thus ensures whoever the QB is has a much weaker team around him — the No. 1 pick this year and the No. 2 and No. 4 pick next year. It’s nuts. I’m not saying it won’t happen; how can I know? I’m saying it’s crazy if it happens. I know a very savvy professional gambler through my involvement with BetPrep, Brad Feinberg of NBC Sports, who has a decent position on the Panthers over their total this year; he said if Carolina drafts a QB, it’s devastating to their win probability. He has discounted the possibility of a QB being drafted by the Panthers in Round 1 almost completely.

This is from the Athletic and not written by Person. The information and perspective is a little different but the same theme as not given a chance in NY. I did find it interesting and made me feel a little better about Darnold. https://theathletic.com/2546016/2021/04/27/sam-darnolds-fantasy-and-trading-card-value-could-swing-wildly-after-the-nfl-draft-heres-why-you-should-bet-on-him-now/?source=dailyemail So for the first two years, Darnold was not terrible. He was better than Josh Allen in the key stat for measuring performance their first two years. The third year, he cratered. But look at the hand that he was dealt. What percentile was his environment on the Jets in each year, measured by coaching and supporting cast? As a rookie, the talent was terrible and the coaching below average, plus he had a center who for weeks could not reliably execute a shotgun snap, making it nearly impossible to function as a quarterback. Let’s be generous and say this was a 30th-percentile environment, where average is obviously 50th, and Patrick Mahomes (KC) is 95th. In reality, I think it’s closer to 20th. Year 2 he had mono. He may not have been healthy all year. His enlarged spleen hampered his ability to run, which is a strength. The coaching was not any better, and arguably worse, as Adam Gase lost the PR battle a head coach needs to win from Day 1 and then it only got worse. The offensive line was a horror show. He had below average, but not terrible, receivers. So this was 25th percentile, at best, but with mono. I’d actually call it 15th. Year 3 was the pandemic weirdness. The coaching got worse somehow as it was clear from October that Adam Gase was a goner. Then the Trevor Lawrence talk started — all of a sudden Darnold was being asked by fans to lose so the franchise could replace him. The offensive line was better, when Mekhi Becton was able to play. The receivers and running game somehow got worse. Let’s call this 10th percentile. So yeah, he got worse every year but so did his circumstances and team environment (players and coaching). Darnold is still only 23 (he’ll play the 2021 season at age 24) — younger not only than Joe Burrow but also 2021 NFL draft prospect Kyle Trask. Do we even know who Darnold is? Here’s a thought experiment: If the Jets had some sick objective to destroy Darnold’s career, what exactly would they have done differently? Can you name one thing?
