Thinking of moving from SoCal to Western Carolina
ladypanther replied to GOAT's topic in Huddle Lounge
A long time ago, I lived in the Sylva area. Loved it there. There is something about the mountains there that is very welcoming and comforting. The area is beautiful too and people are very nice. -

Thinking of moving from SoCal to Western Carolina

@GOAT.....I live in Morganton. These days we most often do not get snow in December. It is an ok small town and not too far from Charlotte. I agree with what LinvilleGorge said about Marion. Avoid that place. Other places to look into are Waynesville and Sylva. Both are west of Asheville with Sylva being the farthest at about 1 hour away. Both will have more snow. Sylva is a great small town in Jackson County, which is also where Western Carolina University is located. I love the Sylva area. Here is a link to an article from the Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/travel/this-tiny-north-carolina-town-is-an-asheville-alternative-for-the-crowd-weary/2016/09/01/e4cadc6e-6959-11e6-8225-fbb8a6fc65bc_story.html Waynesville is growing and is closer to Asheville and thus closer to more shopping. But both places are definitely worth checking out. But also agree, since you will be working from home, check on the internet service. I work from home and really need more upload speed. I meet my company minimum requirements but it would be better if it was much faster. -

Just read this in the Observer about last week's game: Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article255095552.html#storylink=cpy So Brady got called out by his boss. His play calling will be very interesting to see today. Hope he gets it right. Panthers can't lose this one...they just can't. -
My usual Sunday omelet.* Then later, keeping it simple since I am working (from home).. Got some cheese stuffed ravioli with smoked mozzarella yesterday. Comfort food going to be needed for game days. *This week grilled asparagus and cream cheese.

Panther Blue may be difficult to find

Just trying to have neutral expectations at this point. Just signed up for 4 hours of overtime work for Sun. Will be sitting at a computer at home with a headset on answering calls from 11-3. I will have a TV beside the computer muted with closed caption on. If the team had won the last 2 games it is doubtful that I would have volunteered to work.

As long as we do not run out of this..... -
Putting Darnold back where the punter stands may give him 1 sec to throw the ball.
-
Not the coaches fault he missed a wide open DJ in the endzone.
