  1. Sad day for his family, friends, and his football team. Also college FB lost a good one.
  2. Well said Natalie. I agree. Also..nice getting your write up in USA today! Wilks has had command of the team from the start. He has made the changes that he could and the team is better for those changes. He seems to have a high football IQ. He is taking what he was handed and transformed the team. Imagine if he has the chance to make decisions about his staff. Not just firing the bad eggs but bringing in some good assistants. With the direction Wilks has this team going this should be an attractive job for a good OC candidate.
  3. Of course. Win and you're in...this team is going to leave nothing on the field. Famously, years ago when Fox became HC he told the team they were not tough enough. Wilks came in, did not say it, but is showing the team that they were not being coached tough enough. It is amazing how quickly he has transformed the team. The team is responding and getting better every week. Each week they are also showing Tepper what a big mistake he made with what's his name. GO PANTHERS!
  4. Sam got game action last week...then he and McDoo had 2 weeks to prepare. I feel like Wilks may be a bit better prepared coming out of a bye than his predecessors. I think the Panthers have a good shot here. I expect a good game with a Panther win today.
  5. I am actually happy for them to have [some] success after the Wilson trade. It is fun to watch someone with Wilson's ego to get taken down a few notches. Of course I want the Panthers to beat them Sunday. The Olsen TD for the win, with you in the TV shot Jeremy, was very sweet.
  6. It was just a cool thing. News is slow around here.
  7. I think he was pretty happy with last year's Super Bowl.
  8. Part of my work...talk with people who have Medicare. He (the dad) sounds like a super nice guy. Just a fun few minutes.
  9. Baker was a lot worse on the field than I expected and a lot better off.
  10. But he also said: If you told me, ‘Hey we’ve got two years (to win),’” Rhule said, “then we’re going to do things in two years. If you tell me, ‘Hey, I want this to be built for the long haul over four or five years, then we’re going to build slowly through the draft and we’re going to make good financial decisions.’ And you know, if it’s, ‘Hey, you have to win this year,’ you probably don’t let Stephon Gilmore and Haason Reddick go.’ ... If you’re going to try to win in two years, you’d probably have a big blockbuster trade, you’d probably trade up in the draft, you probably would have paid some high-priced free agent.” Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article269466287.html#storylink=cpy FOWLER- (Technically, as Rhule said in a 2021 press conference, he did have final say over personnel decisions). I referenced that 2021 article earlier. Contradicts himself when convenient and thinks no one will notice.

  15. He did an interview with Scott Fowler. Amazing that he thinks a local guys does no know better. This is long and so full of BS that it is hard to read. So far Scott just reported...did not comment. Waiting for the Observer to come down on him. Hard to believe what comes out of his mouth. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article269466287.html
  16. Ellis of the Observer referenced this from the team website: https://www.panthers.com/news/matt-rhule-has-final-say-looking-to-build-relationship-with-gm
  17. Reminder, Cam had the advantage of Chris Weinke summer school.
  18. He is too self absorbed to take the high road. Don't think we will hear from the major players in the front office but have to think that Fitt has some friends in the building that may speak off the record. Maybe even a player or too. I would imagine that there are quite a few people upset with what Rhule said. I hope they start talking. Reporters get to work! Players have made a statement about Rhule already in the way they are praising Wilks.
  19. Wow. Just hard to put into words how bad that was on so many levels. He is so full of himself. I am now surprised that he got the Nebraska job. He has made a fool of himself, Tepper, and now maybe Neb AD. All that being said I blame Tepper for him..yea, he had Hurney here to guide him. Another sign of poor NFL judgement. Rhule threw so many people under the bus. Just a dumb, dumb, classless move. Can't wait for people behind the scenes or players to start talking to reporters in response.
  20. Twitter is such a mess these days tough to know what is real.
