  1. I was at that Bucs game...think it was a Thursday night game? Not sure but definitely a night game. Playoff atmosphere. Stadium was rocking...everyone standing the entire game. Basically ended Gruden's run as the Buc HC. That was fun Panther football. It is nice to have a game this time of year that means something.
  2. Question for you smart football people. Were there changes made in the blocking schemes from the Pitt game to the Detroit game? Did the Panthers Oline do anything differently or did they just beat an inferior dline?
  3. In a recent interview with the New York Post, Payton had this to say when asked about Wilson’s pronounced struggles in 2022: “Well, there’s a lot of things that they’re not doing well, and there’s probably a lot of mud on a lot of people’s hands, including himself.” That doesn’t exactly sound like someone who is chomping at the bit to coach a 34-year-old quarterback who bears little resemblance, at least right now, to the worthy NFC adversary Wilson was to Payton’s Saints during the quarterback’s days in Seattle. https://theathletic.com/3986428/2022/12/26/broncos-coach-candidates-nfl/ Because the Saints own Payton’s rights through 2024, a team wanting to hire Payton would likely have to surrender draft compensation. Do the Broncos even have enough draft picks left to do something like that?
  4. So, I would think that the GM who made that awful trade will get the boot soon. How much did the new owners pay for this team? lol
  5. He does not have to accept the interview offer and he certainly does not need the interview experience. Don't think he will be interested in a terrible job or being someone's token interviewee.
  6. I think Wilks is too smart to want to jump into that mess.
  7. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35323346/denver-broncos-fire-coach-nathaniel-hackett-4-11-start lol...well that team will not have a 1st or 2nd round draft pick until 2025. Who wants that? And who wants their future and reputation tied to Wilson?? Does not seem very attractive to me at all. Heck..maybe they could lure McDoo away from the Panthers.
  8. Yes. And hopefully Tepper has learned something about going after the shiny toy. He wanted Watson for 2 years, tried hard to get him and was lucky he did not. Denver got a hot QB and a hot offensive coach and see where it got them. Think Tepper think!!!!!
  9. Hard to predict this team lately. Hoping they learned something since the Pitt game that sticks with them. Secondary of course is a big concern. Still, going into the last 2 games expecting them to win.
  10. I took Jones...he had a good day and I won.
  11. Detroit Passing Jared Goff TEAM C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS RTG 25/42 355 8.5 3 0 2-19 110.7 25/42 336 8.5 3 0 2-19 110.7 Carolina Passing Sam Darnold TEAM C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS RTG 15/22 250 11.4 1 0 0-0 121.4 15/22 250 11.4 1 0 0-0 121.4 I would not say Goff outplayed Darnold. He threw more because he had to. Goff completed 60% of his passes...Darnold completed 68%
  12. 121.4 passer rating today. Again, he handled pressure. Looked cool in the pocket. Keep it up Sam!
  13. Assumed the Colts. Can't see McVay going out on such a sour note. Pete Carrol?? What would he do with himself and all that energy...lol. Commanders? Who is going to fire Rivera...the GM reports to him. Snyder's not going to get a decent HC to come to that sht show.. Might take a new owner to clean house if that ever happens. Chargers would get Payton. Done deal. I think Payton's recent statements and availability sealed Staley's fate. Doesn't he live in SoCal now? Bucs...how often to teams only give their HC 1 year? Lots of injuries on that team make a good excuse. Hackett has just been bad in Denver, surprised he lasted the year.
  14. So far, there are 2 opening for HC. How many more teams to you expect to fire their current HC?
  15. Holy cow that was hard to watch. 21 yds rushing!! O line was mauled. Moton looked like a rookie. Did not think I would be saying that Darnold's arm was the only thing that kept us in the game...and he was under constant duress..handled it well. 108 passer rating. And ...where was the D? SMH The only positives I can think of from Sunday are that Dallas and Tampa got embarrassed (sorry Mr Scot). Oh and that game ending play big time screw up by New England. Before Sunday happened thought that this team had something to build on...poof.....gone. It gets worse. Tepper will be making decisions about the future. OMG. God help us.
  16. Wilks will have this team ready. Panthers win by 10.

  18. Didn't the Ravens get Jackson with the last pick in the 1st round? Need good scouts, GM and a really good OC.
  19. I think if he has a good plan for the OC position this job is his.
  20. He and what's his name seemed to have trouble identifying a good QB. Just saying.
  21. .........died Dec. 12 at a hospital in Jackson, Miss. He was 61. The cause was complications from a heart condition, said Mississippi State University, which announced his death. Mr. Leach had been hospitalized after experiencing what the school described as a “personal health issue” at his Starkville, Miss., home Sunday. Mr. Leach was one of the most colorful characters in college football, an offensive mastermind who also was known for his off-the-field interests in pirates, Daniel Boone, Jackson Pollock and Geronimo. He was in his third season at Mississippi State and was reportedly at practice as recently as Saturday, helping his 8-4 Bulldogs team prepare for its Jan. 2 bowl game against Illinois. Unlike most of his peers, Mr. Leach never played a down in college. He had planned to become a lawyer and graduated from Pepperdine University’s law school before deciding he wanted to coach despite having only previously coached a Little League baseball team. He went on to work as a head coach for 21 seasons, arriving at the office wearing flip-flops and shorts and invoking the metaphor of a pirate ship in conversations with his players. “Swing your sword,” he would tell them, using a phrase that also served as the title of his 2011 memoir. Empowered by Mr. Leach, quarterbacks had the freedom to change every play and often set records for passing. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/12/13/mike-leach-dies/
