  1. Saddest thing I have ever seen in sports. Hope this guys survives but this is too serious. Classy thing for the teams, Bengals to do is to agree to a tie. Awful thing to watch. Game needs to be over.
  2. Hepcat....I am very sorry for your loss. I can imagine that this is a very emotional and hard time for you and your family. I believe it is possible to be a fan without making it your life. I know, a win would have been a very nice distraction, but it is just that. A few years ago, my brother in law, Danny, was dying of pancreatic cancer. Danny was such a great guy. He and my sister lived about 2 hours from me. As things began to look grim, I would go over to their house early on Sunday, spend the day with them and we would watch football games together. Those are some of my fondest memories...just hanging out...watching the ups and downs of the games, enjoying each other's company. We were fans of different teams but always hoped the other's teams did well. The outcome does not matter now...it was the fun that we had there together. An aside, Danny was an accountant and his company had an office in Orlando which he visited from time to time. He and his colleagues sometimes went to Jaqs games. A couple of his colleagues went to USL, where Blake Bortles went. The last season of Danny's life, Bortles was leading the jags to the playoffs. A couple of days before the Jags played NE for the conference championship, Danny received a package from the Jacksonville Jaguars.... an autographed pic of Bortles with a note of good wishes from Bortles. (turns out one of his Orlando colleagues had put that in motion) Props to Bortles...while preparing for the most important game of his career, he was willing to do that. That act was very meaningful to Danny. That weekend was the last good weekend that Danny had. The last time he smiled. The Jags lost...that did not matter. Football is not life or death. It is a sport, entertainment...which at times can bring pleasure (but not always). If you cannot emotionally handle the highs and lows, better to get some distance. It is not necessarily a bad thing for everyone. But if it, or anything else makes you miserable...cut it out of your life. I will continue to be a Panther fan and hope for the best. That's my thing. It is not everything...I do have hobbies, I do exercise, etc. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself and your family.
  3. Have you ever heard of this guy?
  4. So...what happened to the dline and the oline? Brady had all day to throw which is not good for a good secondary not to mention the scrubs we had playing. These players want to play hard for Wilks but you could not see it on the field. Got manhandled up front on both sides of the ball. That surprised me.
  5. You do remember that Tepper is still in charge...right?
  6. OK come on offense...we need a TD here. McDoo...get it done.
  7. TDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Stat to know: The Buccaneers are 0-7 this season when allowing 20 or more points and are 7-1 when holding opponents under 20 points. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35343574/nfl-week-17-game-picks-schedule-guide-fantasy-football-tips-odds-injuries-stats-know I see the Panthers scoring 21 in the 1st half and dominating TOP.
  9. Thought this was cool. Darnold knows his life has been easier because of the Panthers' run game, and the protection he's getting up front. So Thursday, all of the offensive linemen came in to find gifts from their quarterback. Each of the linemen got a gas-powered pizza oven, and all the accessories that the big men might want to keep themselves fed. https://www.panthers.com/news/ben-mcadoo-praises-character-of-quarterback-room
  10. Wilks is not just sticking with guys because there are there, or because they are vets. Sticking with Piniero looks like a good decision. Dumping Anderson...also a good decision. He did not hesitate to cut coaches as well. Many have called him a Rivera-Foxy clone, but I am seeing something different.
  11. Yea, they just mentioned on Moving the Chains (Sirius NFL) that Penner has no experience and knows nothing about the NFL, would not even know how to interview anyone other than to ask personal type questions. Go for it Penner...those very rich guys think they are smarter than the other very rich guys who screwed that up. Oh...and Paton says Russell can be fixed. lol...super sized egos pretty hard to fix.
