Need some vet talent with a rookie QB. (Plus someone he can throw the ball to...lol). Who can the Panthers afford? https://theathletic.com/4278297/2023/03/08/free-agency-rankings-nfl-positions/

Like I said, I trust this staff. My concern is whether any of these guys are really worth the price. If Young were taller he would be a no brainer.
-
Not here! I see him in Denver as the back up teaching Wilson the SP system j/k

Would like to see his eval of Hooker. We have some smart coaches so I trust them. I would not be upset if they stay at 9 or even trade down and then get Hooker. Although this place will go nuts...might be fun to watch.

I just fear the price. And he is not necessarily the next greatest thing...just maybe the safest bet of this draft. We will not be able to fill some other holes if we try to move up to 1.
-
Word was that he got very little reps in practice due to the competition for the starting role. To be fair...our current coaching staff has seen nothing of him. I do not know if he has potential or not. Not sure there is evidence to know if anyone does at this point. And I blame Rhule for everything...and Tepper for hiring him.

Just now finding that out? Will probably mess up their whole draft board.

https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/calvin-ridley-nfl-football-jacksonville-jaguars Interesting read. Now that he is with the Jags I can root for him.

The advantage with Brissett is that he already knows Reich's system. Might be more help to a rookie and might get him for a good price.

I should have titled the thread "available' instead of free agent...will try to correct. Here is what they said: Lamar Jackson is the lone franchise-tagged player in this set of rankings because he is the only tagged player who still appears likely to draw interest from other teams. Because the Ravens used the non-exclusive tag on Jackson, other NFL teams can negotiate with him and sign him to an offer sheet. Baltimore would have the chance to match any offer sheet, and if it declines, the other team would have to give up two first-round picks.

REPORT: Panthers to aggressive pursue trade up to get a QB
ladypanther replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
So sorry to hear your child is in the hospital. Hope all is well soon. Thanks for all the work you do. Appreciate your posts. -
1)...Long time until the draft. (April 27) The QB predictions last year did not pan out on draft day. This staff just getting together and starting their in depth evaluations. 2) The Panther ship was locked up pretty tight for leaks during the coach hiring process. Expect the same now. Rumors or articles on who the team likes are just clickbait. We know nothing. Too early in the process for the brain trust to have their evals complete and you can bet the FO and coaches are not going to let other teams know who they like or what they are doing. I know we have gotten used to checkers but this is high level chess now.
