  3. Denverworld is a sad place. "Sean Payton has been an unmitigated disaster through two weeks' Sean Payton’s halftime adjustments were once again subpar. And his performance in the waning moments was laughable. The Broncos were down 11 points when they got the ball back with 7:11 to play in the game. They didn’t go up temp. They didn’t have any sense of urgency. Instead, they methodically marched down the field, as Washington happily let them burn clock. Denver took 5:21 to kick a field goal that cut the lead to eight points. Not scoring before the two-minute warning was an egregious error. Having to use a timeout after taking a sack on third-and-goal was the height of ineptitude. But it didn’t end there. After scoring on a 50-yard hail mary as time expired, the Broncos had a chance to force overtime with a two-point conversion. Most teams have a play drawn up for just such a situation. They seem to be wide open more often than not. Denver ran a chaotic mess that wound up in an incompletion, although pass interference probably should’ve been called. What was Payton’s reaction? Nothing. He stood emotionless on the sidelines. A chance for a miraculous win went up in smoke. Payton reacted less than patrons at Starbucks when they run out of pumpkin spice lattes. Add it all up and it’s a colossal disappointment. And it’s on the head coach. His choice for defensive coordinator is a disaster. Everyone saw that coming. His lack of in-game adjustments have been problematic. He’s been outcoached by Josh McDaniels and Ron Rivera to start the season. And his inability to call up the right play in the crucial moment was disappointing. His giant playsheet needed one more line on it. A lot of people in Broncos Country wanted an experienced head coach. They got one. But his seasoning doesn’t seem to be paying any dividends. Vance Joseph’s defense was awful. That should come as a surprise to no one. The defensive coordinator wasn’t good in Miami in that role. He wasn’t in Arizona, either. And as the Broncos head coach during the 2017 and ’18 seasons, the team regressed on that side of the ball. So far this season, VJ’s group has been picked apart by Jimmy Garoppolo and Sam Howell. A week after recording zero sacks against the Raiders, they failed to force a turnover against the Commanders. They don’t make plays. They can’t get stops. It’s a recipe for disaster. Not all of it is on Joseph, however. The players are also to blame. Justin Simmons makes big money. He’s done nothing in two weeks. Pat Surtain is arguably the Broncos best player. He makes zero impact, as teams can easily avoid a cornerback and simply pick on others. Randy Gregory finally had a sack. But the team’s highest-paid pass rusher was missing in action in the second half, mirroring his performance from a week ago. Another season down the drain. And it’s only mid-September. https://denversports.com/2107728/sean-payton-has-been-an-unmitigated-disaster-through-two-weeks/
  4. You can keep it for a few days....maybe even 2 weeks depending on the service.
  5. https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/dallas-cowboys-deion-sanders-prime-prep-colorado-coach-new-york-jets-aaron-rodgers-preview In 2012, the same persona who wrote a book titled Power, Money & Sex and starred in a reality TV show called Prime Time Love was planning on opening his own charter school in Dallas … fittingly called Prime Prep Academy. As a writer for the Dallas Observer, I joined a team chronicling his ambitious endeavor. The scandal, fraud and mismanagement started before the doors even opened. We learned that Deion’s co-founder, D.L. Wallace, was inexplicably being paid rent for a Prime Prep building that he didn’t own. When we approached Deion about the arrangement, he offered no rational reason and instead brushed us off with a patronizing “God bless you.” Prime Prep’s application to the Texas Education Board was found to be plagiarized from another school. Along with promising students a “world class education,” the document also contained outright lies about securing hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from corporate giants Wal-Mart, Home Depot and NFL Network. When we contacted those companies, they were dumbfounded that Deion was even starting a school, much less about some pledge of financial assistance. During its three-year run, Prime Prep was a series of embarrassments, including being ranked as the “worst academic institution in North Texas” by the non-profit, Children at Risk. Sanders was front and center, twice fired as football coach, accused of choking two employees and telling school administrators – on a tape recording – that he not only wanted a hefty pay raise but also a new job title: “HNIC.” Prime Prep shuttered its doors in 2015 with less than an hour’s notice, leaving students without a school and employees without paychecks. Said a TEB member upon the school’s closing, “Prime Prep will no longer be a financial lottery ticket for those who don’t care to understand how to educate children.” To this day, some in Dallas mock Deion’s failed school as “Crime Prep.” Quite the legacy.
  6. Can you guys just take a breath and not turn at least 1 thread into something negative? This is just getting to be too much. It is hard to wrap my head around how people who are "fans" of a team hate it so much after 1 frigging game. Will Chark finish this game healthy? I do not know, but then I do not know that about any player. I am just happy that he will be on the field...it is something positive and hopeful. I will be in that space today. Some of you should try it....just start with a few minutes.
  7. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/travis-hunter-injury-update-colorado-hospital-colorado-state/f826debc4b5681be6ebacd04 Skip Bayless reported Monday that Hunter will miss 3-4 with a lacerated liver, though Sanders didn't confirm whether that's the exact injury Hunter is dealing with.
  8. There is nothing Cinderella about Deion.
  9. lol...good point. Bet they did not expected this one to get that nuts.
  10. Sounds like the Raiders have their hands full with this one.
  11. The Chandler Jones thing keeps getting messier. https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/football-fans-growing-concerned-about-raiders-star-chandler-jones
  12. Mike McDaniel looks like a nerd who should be writing computer code.....lol
  13. And the rest of us love watching them lose.
  14. After he trashed the coaches that would not be a surprise.
  15. Hated that smirk on Payton's face after the TD.....Washington's D wiped it off on the 2 point try. Cool.
