  1. To be fair we never should have let the guy walk. We tried to replace him with Kaelen Clay and he cost us multiple games with his drops. Byrd could have developed into 700 yd a season WR if he continued a report with Cam.
  2. Damn that might leave the door open Shi Smith. I love me some Byrd though. Underrated player.
  3. This 100%. It also looked like Cam was anticipating the ball bouncing and changing direction. That moment has always just been an excuse for F-150's to spew their hate.
  4. I love what we're hearing about Bryce but I also feel it needs to be said that his brain isn't the only reason he's a #1 pick. He also has incredible accuracy and touch. There are a lot of smart QB's that are career backups. I think there is a difference in understanding what is happening and having the ability to execute it on the field. Bryce has a skillset that allows him to take advantage of the weaknesses he sees. Granted he hasn't played a down yet in the NFL but thus far he's excelled for multiple reasons.
  5. Yeah I can agree with that. I also feel like much of the BS calls came from the refs and the league having bias against Cam. I think the fact that Cam wasn't an awe shucks try hard traditional QB rubbed the old crusty zebras the wrong way and chose not to protect him. Which just shows the lack of integrity on the official's part. Cam should have been able to be as unabashedly himself as he damn well please and you still call the game fair and square. And if anyone thinks thats a tin foil hat theory, just look at what the refs did when they finally made PI challengeable. They essentially boycotted it and turned down every challenge despite the clear evidence overturning PI. These people don't like being told their wrong because they get high on power trips.
  6. 100% It was Manning's retirement game. It was the most disgusting display of officiating I've ever seen. Which is sad because you would think on the biggest stage, on the biggest game of the year, for the 50th anniversary of the NFL they would get the calls right. The fact that they didn't tells me it was deliberate.
  7. I also think it's actually a good thing that he's throwing a pick now and then. It shows he's not losing confidence despite the mistakes. He's a tight window thrower, those are naturally risky.
  8. I think Bryce will handle it just fine. Seems like QBs coming out now are more prepared for the NFL than they used to be.
  9. I thought the Commanders name was just another insult to Native Americans, granted I don’t speak for them. But it felt like doubling down on the insult instead of changing the name to something like The Warriors or The Natives that would at least attempt to honor and put a positive light on them.
  10. The Cam fumble thing is way overblown imo. He didn't dive on the ball for two reasons. 1. He was anticipating the ball changing direction. 2. He was too tall to just drop immediately on top of it.
  11. I'm not so sure it's a baseball thing as much as it is being creative with your throwing motions and adapting to off platform throws.
  12. It was a bad kick but Kasay won us half of our games that year. It's no guarantee we would have stopped Brady anyway. The defense was fighting like hell to get 3rd down stops at that point. You know since they knew our fuging plays and everything.
  13. If you look at the stats in comparison to his peers, (guys like Fitzgerald, Wayne, Holt, Bruce, etc). They all averaged 30 or more targets a season than Smith did throughout his career. It's actually a shocking difference. To me it's evidence enough to say that Smith is truly is a top 5-10 WR all time. Had he played with Brady or Manning for any significant amount of time he would have embarrassed everybody else.
  14. Funny I was thinking about AE yesterday out of the blue in regards to todays NFL. Had he come out now he would have stayed a QB and at least given a look.
  15. And to add (it's a bit of stretch but part of my head cannon) that cougars, jaguars (possibly some melanistic ones-black panthers) used to roam parts of SC, and maybe ventured into NC a time or two.
  16. Can i nominate my cat as Sir Purrs little bro ?
  17. We will contend and we will win the division. This team was playoff caliber last year when it was handcuffed by dumb dumb HC Rhule. Fringe starter Sam Darnold was looking like a badass when we finally started playing to our strengths under Wilks. If Bryce Young is remotely close as advertised then we will be whooping a lot of ass next season. This is the best line and most effective weaponry we’ve supplied a QB since 2013. Yall gotta start having some nuts . The Saints only win when the refs want to play storymode. The Buccaneers aren’t doing anything unless Mayfield goes dark knight rises on our ass. The Falcons are our biggest threat.
  18. It really just depends on Bryce. This was a playoff team last year if they canned Rhule a game or two sooner.
  19. About time these dudes get canned. They have the easiest job in the world. Anyone with mid communication skills could hop on these shows, talk a little poo, and then trigger a fan base with some idiot comment.
  20. It really just depends on how Bryce does. We don't have superstars everywhere. But theoretically we have an offensive answer to damn near every situation we could encounter. We have a veteran WR who knows how to get open, we have speed in Chark/Byrd/Shi Smith. We have two guys with physicality, size, and 4.4 speed to win contested catches in TMJ and Mingo. Then we've got Sanders whos an all around great weapon. All we're missing is a bruising RB. I'm not expecting a ton out of Hurst. But him in combination with Tremble should be good enough to make those 3rd QTR grabs that move the chains.
  21. I think a lot of that will depend on Bryce. If he’s as good as advertised then it shouldn’t be a problem. We have the right type of WR to adjust for every situation pretty much .
