Smitty was definitely Smitty when Jake took over. He took the triple crown after sitting out what would be his sophomore campaign with a broken leg as a starter. Steve Smith is a top 5 WR of all time and Muhammad is probably in the top 30.You have to be kidding yourself to think Bryce doesn’t destroy Jake in the same circumstances. He’s smarter and more mobile. Maybe just maybe Jake can force a throw that Bryce couldn’t throw on a given play. But that’s literally all he has over him. Cam is still better than both of them at this point. But it’s time to stop shitting on Bryce.

I don’t buy that at all. Jake had the benefit of one of the best front 4s and the best WR of all time bailing him out. Bryce’s receiver group has never come close to Steve Smith, Muhammad, Ricky P, etc. Delhomme was in the right place at the right time. But he was a flawed player that couldn’t play the game when he couldn’t force the throws he used to.

Bryce sustains drives on a level that Jake couldn’t. Those early 00s teams were complete squads. Jake would be pedestrian in todays game.

Yeah man I would make that argument. Had our defense been anything other than trash Bryce would’ve delivered W’s against TB, Philly, KC and put us in the playoffs. He’s delivering inspite of the team like Cam did.

You can’t be serious CRA. The 03 defense is an all time defense. Bryce Young on the 08 squad takes them to the Super Bowl. Delhomme had a legitimate two year stretch as a standout QB. But he never really had it between the ears. He just had the arm talent to force throws he had no business making. Tommy John destroyed him. Thats why the 08/09 playoff game was so awful. It is exposed Jake for who he really was . Had Fox had any god damn sense he would have made the 08 season an open competition between Delhomme and Matt Moore, and Moore would have taken us farther. Because he was the smarter QB and had the better arm.

Yall gotta stop being dishonest with yourselves. When he has the ball in his hands he is trustworthy. He’s delivered multiple game winning drives that would be W’s if not for this ass defense. Bryce has already outclutched Delhomme. He’s easily the best QB we’ve had since Cam God Newton.

I think the biggest issue was not letting Bryce sit. They’ve should have started Dalton and let him observe the game on the professional level.

When Bryce leads us to a second SB victory against the Broncos in 2028 I hope he pays all the fines to wear the #1 jersey and curb stomp the every living fug out of Denver for the cosmic justice in rigging SB 50 for teabagger Manning’s retirement trophy.

Not to pull a Marty Hurney but it’s kind of irrelevant when you can always trade future picks. You’re trading future variable risk for the guy you want. Bryce looks the part now. Best new QBs the last two years are Bryce, Stroud, and Daniels.

I’d like to see more air yards but his clutch factor and accuracy is definitely top 10. Part of the problem is the defense constantly getting ran over so he’s getting limited opportunities to throw.

Bro no. Bridgewater never had Bryce’s accuracy, mobility, or clutch factor. Teddy was a stat padder and check down coward that never pushed the ball down field. Horrible comparison. He might have had a boost from Payton in NO with the officiating bias down there but he can’t touch Bryce’s jock strap.

Can’t wait to see what he can do with one more weapon and a restocked defense from the draft. The man is clutch.
