  1. 1. Cam Newton 2. Julius Peppers 3. Steve Smith 4. Luke Keuchly 5. To play devils advocate here I’m going to go with Jonathan Stewart. Probably the most complete back we’ve ever had in terms of speed, balance, and power. He was a monster in his prime.
  2. Corral would have played had he not been hurt.
  3. My take was based on a guess of faith they had in TMJ. But as they say sometimes the best defense is a great offense.
  4. I like Shi Smiths talent but I’m partial to Byrd . I think he’s always been an underrated player. We should have kept him a long time ago.
  5. Yeah but every defense needs a bonafide pass rusher and you just gutted your team of the star DE. You’re just going to end up wasting picks or trading assets to replace him.
  6. Well we did get a big body WR. I think they probably see Hurst as a stop gap solution for them to evaluate Tremble and see if Ian Thomas can amount to something. We have a plethora of weapons on offense right now. They aren’t the best in the game but they serve their function. I do want us to replace Foreman with a similar style player. The way I see it we can call any play we want with the guys we’ve gathered. We don’t necessarily need studs everywhere. We just need the right players to win the right situations at the right time.
  7. I’m saying get 3-4 years out of him as a fringe role player is a success. If this guy is a Mario Addison level player then that’s a major win. Our defensive line needs bodies. I think we are going to have some growing pains on that side of the ball. Guys who faired well with Wilks 4-3 might have a hard time in the 3-4. I think they are anticipating struggles against the run and think this guy can plug some holes situationally and rush the passer. He’s a hell of an athlete. I don’t mind the pick at all. Burns needs help.
  8. Fitt has only had 3 drafts (including this one). Hes done about as good a job as Hurney at drafting. Probably better all things considered. We have players we don’t know the true potential of yet because Rhule was HC. Dudes like TMJ, Shi Smith, Brandon Smith, Tremble, etc). What I do like about Fitt is that he attacks needs. He doesn’t have a holy than though “Answer is on the roster” BS. He tries and he’s aggressive. If Scott was here in the Ron era Cam would still be our QB. He would have got his ass a LT.
  9. He’s a 3rd round pick man. If DC sees something and can make him blossom for 3 -4 years at a fringe starter level then we win and simply draft his replacement. The team looks to win immediately. Johnson could be an immediate role player and we need someone who can stop the run.
  10. Looks like a solid pick. Guy with size and athleticism. We have a good number of lineman on the roster that we won’t know how well they’ll translate to the 3-4. We need options.
  11. If Corrall actually could be the guy. Would you expect him to give up his number ? You know Cam sure as hell wouldn’t . Corrall sucks but every player in the NFL has to believe they are the best.
  12. That’s true but the cupboard isn’t bare is what I mean. I don’t think we’re forced to take one. We have an option for every play call scenario under the current roster. Is rather us take a pass rusher.
  13. I mean I don’t think we need a WR in the second anyway. If they believe in TMJ then we have a competitive group for all sorts of situational football. Chark can take the top off of a defense. Thielen can find the holes in the zone. TMJ has #1 potential. Shi Smith has playmaking ability.
  14. I’d like to see him have his fair look in camp. God forbid something happens to Young he could get his shot.
  15. His best bet is to compete his ass off and hope Bryce gets hurt.
  16. We about to officially resign Cam and draft BPA on the jumbotron .
  17. Can we also get a thread for when we trade out of the #1 pick so we can resign Cam and draft BPA?
  18. Would we really need him to coach? He could simply be a week to week consultant. He probably still watches tape like an animal. We could just have him come in on Thursdays and tell the LB's all the keys he's seeing.
  19. I know Bryce (or CJ/AR) will be our pick and heir apparent. But I do hope that Corral gets an honest look by the staff to see if he's worth keeping around.
  20. Glad to hear you made it through. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  21. Idk I think while our WR group isn't stacked right now it is at least a competitive group. We desperately need another pass rusher and athletic talent at LB.
  22. I think OP is talking about the player and their talent on the field. By that metric alone Hardy is basically second to Peppers. If he wasn't a moron he'd still be in the league. Hardy had a motor and ability to play the run that Burns doesn't display. But Burns edges him out in athleticism.
