Smitty is definitely getting snubbed. He's the best of the finalists. Just to give some insight on just how good Steve Smith really was. I pulled this from a post on another forum. In terms of pound for pound the best player. Take away stat padding . Steve Smith > Fitzgerald, Holt, Harrison, and Bruce. He was more dangerous and could score anywhere on the field. He was also historically targeted 20-30, to even 40 times less at times a season then the aforementioned players. The most Steve Smith was ever targeted in a season was 150 times, occurring only once. By comparison here are his contemporaries' targets of 150 more in a season. Fitzgerald (9) Holt (4) Harrison (4) Bruce (2) Mind you this is playing with Jake Delhomme, and only having Muhammad to pull coverage for a few years. He also lost two seasons worth of his all time yardages due to injury and being a KR/PR his rookie year. Had Steve Smith got to play with Manning or Warner in a passing offense for any stretch of his prime he would smashed some records and likely be 16-17k in receiving yards conservatively.

Wilson ran out of bullshit plays on his madden meter. His stats aren’t bad this year though. Kind of wild they want to ditch him.

I think theoretically our WR’s should be talented. But Chark way underperformed most of the season. Mingo is gonna take some time to blossom. No one is afraid of AT. Losing Byrd for the season really hurt us more than people think. He had top flight speed to stretch the defense and his experience playing with Kyler Murray would have helped us on off script plays. And we’ll never know with Shenault since the guy broke his leg.

I mean Cam is god and is always right but two of those picks were tipped balls.

How’s that grounding?

Chark, Mingo, Theilen, and Smith-Marsette, have their place it seems like. If we can bring in Higgins I think he would make the rest of these guys look a hell of a lot better. Then getting a WR in the draft would be ideal.

I want every Panther fan to put an asterisk on this game. Because we beat Green Bay and outplayed them for the W. It’s not our teams fault the NFL played storymode and cheated us out of the game.

Burns is too light to play the 3-4. He’s also just not #1 DE material. Not enough power and not enough rage. Brown and Luvu are dogs and can play either scheme.

Bryce kicked ass and lead us to victory today. We “lost” because the NFL played storymode. He absolutely did enough to win. Today was just a pathetic display by the NFL in producing a product that the fans deserve. Shame on them. Truly disgusting and pathetic performance by the officials.

This is why it’s hard to be a fan and be invested 100%. Because at the end of the day, some ignorant, crusty ass, moron official is going to dictate the game. And should you utter the thought they are wrong in their ignorance and bias, you will get fuged anyway. The NFL is a clown show.

We’re just lacking a guy with true #1 potential. If we sign Higgins all the sudden these fringe #2 level guys will look a lot better with Bryce’s ability to extend plays. It will make a world of difference.

He looked really good. He played well enough for us to win today no doubt. Hopefully he keeps building on this into next season. Also, did Chark earn a chance to comeback next year today ?

He looked great today and so did the protection too. This is a win to build off of. And we did win. NFL cheated us but we won.

Better team lost

Not quite as bad as SB 50 but definitely close. SB 50 was the NFL making an example of Cam and telling the world they didn’t want an unabashedly black and cocky QB winning and dominating the NFL. They weren’t going to let us beat Manning in his last game. Cam was headhunted the entire game and we were cheated out of the biggest momentum call with the Cotchery catch. If we were allowed to compete in that game than the trajectory of this franchise would be very different.

He came alive today for sure. Great feeling about our future.
