Sounds like a job for one of the Huddle newbies. Track down the presser that Cam rattles off all the nicknames he's given and see if Sunshine or Lord Farquad is in it.

Maybe he did before Bersin donated his hair (to Locks for Love iirc?) Makes sense that Cam would change his nickname after that. Cam's got a soft spot for charitable acts like that.

I get the feeling Belichik is trolling us. Last year with claiming Gaffney off the waived-intended-for-IR wire from us. Then this year the day after we sign TE Simonson is when Belichik decides to cut TE Tim Wright, who has much better stats.

^^ this Year 2 with Benji and Corey AND Ted Ginn with shiny new toy Funchess. I think Proehl's coaching of Ginn is underestimated by many. Ginn's first tour of duty with us was his 2nd best season. His best was with Miami as a 2nd year player 8 years ago. 8 freakin' years ago. That just doesn't happen with WRs to go that long between career and 2nd best career years with that many statistically dead years in between the two.

He'd be better depth than Silatolu and Chandler. Could push Norwell and Turner to be better, but is probably too old to start ahead of them. He's got more than 3 years of NFL service so he'd be a free agent. No waivers for him.

Jeremy any chance of making this into a Huddle podcast for the archives?

So the Colts celebrate making the Playoffs?

Terrible cap. Not flat billed and not curved enough. #clueless -

I wish Houston, Jax, and the Titans would step up and make it harder to win that division. But not until next year -

You're right. Only thing that matters is where you're drafted. Guess we're in good hands with 2nd rounder LT Jonathan Martin then.

Our very own Ricky Proehl managed to play 16 years of NFL football without being a remarkable athlete and got a ring out of it, too. Not saying Bersin's the next coming, but it's not impossible for him to be, either.

49ers third-year FS Eric Reid said he contemplated retirement
O-Ther replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
back when Deion Sanders signed with the Cowpunks for $20 million (or some ungodly amount for a non-QB in those days) he only half-joked about a nickel of that was for his tackling. I can vouch that a few people were turned off by that and started watching more college football instead because they perceived the college game as tougher than what the NFL was apparently turning into. It's going to be ironic if the women that play that lingerie football league start getting more concussions than NFL players since it seems that women are at the forefront of the movement to make the game safer for the kids. -
So this happened in Mike Smith's last year there, right? The Mike Smith that had a few connections to Gus Bradley in Jacksonville? Gus Bradley that use to be the DC in Seattle? Seattle where the team got popped for PEDs? Sounds like you're saying we need to test Lady Ice for PEDs, but I couldn't really understand what you said over the fake stadium noise

I could honestly see a time-share thing like last year to start the season that involved Trai Turner and Fernando Velasco at Guard. Trai only had 2 years experience playing at LSU, so he and Velasco shared snaps until Trai could take over full time in week 5 (and promptly hurt his knee and sat out for 3 weeks). Depending on how well Williams does in camp, another time-share early could happen, especially since we have our bye in week 5. -
Panthers Wide Receiver Depth Chart - OTA Week 2
O-Ther replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
And in the 17 games before that one last year, Cam's first read was always open. He never had to go to his second or third read on any play until that particular play in Seattle your butthurt seems legit- 107 replies

Nice! Most of the best Tampa can offer right there for a guy's weekend. I need to head down there soon and fish the Gulf for grouper. -

Pic #6 can be good form/bad form side by side. Silatolu has his hands a little lower and more in the center. Chandler's are higher and more outside. Silatolu has good position to counter a spin, swim , or bullrush move. Chandler is very vulnerable to a spin move with his hands there. -
More inclined to think they'll carry 1 less O-Lineman (9 vs. 10) and 1 more RB (4 vs. 3) because of the emphasis mentioned about Special Teams. Fozzy and Todman both have that Special Teams value, so I think they'll both stay with Stewie and CAP. Still would have room for 2 FBs, so both Tolbert and Ward could make the final 53, especially if Tolbert is still playing Special Teams and if Ward has started to.

Nice thing about that is it's hurting the Taints, too. With OLB Junior Gallette having an injured pec and possibly facing league suspension about a domestic issue arrest in January, their 2nd rounder OLB Hau'Oli Kikaha is a strong candidate to take Gallette's spot. Problem is, he's a teammate of Shaq's at U of Washington, so he can't be at the Taints OTAs, either.

Anyone worried about coaching decisions in 2015?
O-Ther replied to Hotsauce's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most on here have eased up on Rivera since it came out that the players really have respect for him and keeping the team focused so they could win those last 4 games, especially the last one in Atlanta, and clinch the division. Same doesn't apply to the OC Shula, tho. Fans have forgiven Cam for his bad year because of Cam's injuries, bad O-Line for most of the year, an all new WR group, and a constant stream of injuries to the RBs, but somehow Shula is supposed to deal with all that and produce a top 5 offense. The fans are hung up on 1 play call where Bersin was the first read. Doesn't matter that earlier in the game Benji caught a TD pass, so the defense was keying on him. Doesn't matter that earlier in the game, Sherman got his first career playoff INT defending Corey Brown. Doesn't matter that Kam Chancellor got his pick-6 on a pass intended for Cotchery. No credit is given to Shula for being able to put 17 on the board vs. the #1 defense and being in position to tie the game at 24-24 until that pick-6. With all the stuff Cam was forgiven for, Shula is assailed for and he should have worked around all that somehow because he had healthy TEs all year, so that makes the other 4 offensive groups irrelevant. -
That's the kind of tough Atlanta discusses being in their meetings about being tough.

The purpose of keeping me awake at night and terrorized by the visions in my head? Bastard. not serious.
