  1. It's that very uncertainty, which will make it very difficult for Hardy to come back (unfortunately), unless it's an unlikely, very team friendly deal?
  2. It will only have to be a "prove it deal". Neither GMan, or JR will take the risk of resigning Hardy for a market level deal. As bad as Smitty was over the years (and he was bad); he never cost the Panthers $$, by not playing 15 games in one season. So though Smitty punching out a player was really bad (and it was). He still didn't cost JR all that money. You cannot imagine how much that stings to an owner, especially with another prospective contract looming. Very difficult, to see Hardy coming back, unless it's a team friendly deal.
  3. The irony is: NONE of these players know what Greg Hardy's going to do in the future!! They can vouch all they want for him on the field. Duh! We already know he's a great player and leader on the field for the Panthers. That's not why he's in this scenario now. He's in this position, cause he's been historically reckless OFF THE FIELD during his tenure as a Panther. His latest incident, cost the Panther $13 mil, down the drain as Hardy only played one game, with the defense suffering the first 8-10 games. And no Panther: Not CJ; not Davis; Kalil; Cam, etc., can insist on what Hardy's going to or not do in the future. Nobody knows, regardless what Hardy says or will promise. Ultimately, the decision will come down to what JR and Gettleman feel in their hearts and pocketbooks!
  4. That's easy for them to say, their not paying him, and threw away $13 mil last season. That kinda loss stings like a MotherFuga when you're an owner. I don't see much chance, unless he plays significantly below market value, and/or has a clause in his contract where they can stop paying him (asking him to return money sounds fruitless) if/when he fugs up again. Otherwise, I'm holding out. But it doesn't look good.
  5. Shoot, the good field position is the short of it. His defense, actually scores points for him, as they did about 24 unanswered in the Superbowl, before he/Seattle's offense, or Denver scored a point. I Heard a stat, that mentioned Seattles Defense Has Led The League in Scoring the Past Two years as well. And yes, he's always had the luxury of playing with a running back that gets the immediate attention of the defense (besides a great OC, and defense), which takes a tremendous amount of play by play pressure off of him and responsibility. This alone, makes him peripheral to what they do on offense (Wilson, works off of the run game and what the defense does to prepare for it). He's not the guy opposing defenses focus on primarily. And I agree; he's letting the media stuff go to his head (which his probably one of the reasons why we saw the stories about many of his teammates not liking him last year). The thought of him talking about winning six Superbowls, with his limited skill set, and the fact that the defense, and other players on the team were the bigger contributors and Super Bowl (or potential Super Bowl MVP, if Seattle won this year), makes his hubris even more classless and unbelievable. Be humble man, the way the media portrays you. He either, truly really believes this junk, or is trying to play up to his fake media image.
  6. True. Wilson, did stare down the receiver, and placed a high throw. If he would have thrown it at the receivers feet (for a sliding catch), or even in the gut, with a bit more risk, the ball is probably caught or deflected.
  7. Yup Yup I brought this up earlier in another thread. The Seattle defense, actually scored more points than the offense did in the 2014 Supe Bowl. And they did it early. So Wilson stays in the game and pads his stats through out, while given that big point cushion from the start, before he, or the offense did anything. Ironically, though he thankfully didn't win MVP in Supe Bowl 2014; there were some in the media who were lobbying for Wilson to be MVP, though he obviously had nothing to do with the games outcome, just because of that very stat padding you brought up. Let's remember. The defense scored more points than the offense, and they scored all of their points before the offense scored their first. It's like the QB/Wilson, was a complete bystander when so much of the scoring took place (with the game essentially decided already) during the first half. Absolutely incredible!
  8. Though I didn't agree with the play call. The reason why Seattle tried to throw it on 2nd down from the goal line, instead of an obvious third or 4th down, is because they knew in a passing situation, little ass Russel Wilson would have a hard time looking over and reading the defense, if the play wasn't a quick, successful timing pattern. Otherwise, he could have gotten sacked trying to read the defense, or stuffed trying run it into endzone. . So instead, they tried to catch NE napping, instead of giving the ball to their best offensive player in Lynch.
  9. Poetic Justice to that ending. Seattle's offense did Didley squat for most of the first half, then gets back in the game, thanks to the defense. So they get the lead, and end up in front of the endzone by the flukiest of catches. Then get greedy, trying to throw the ball from the 1 yard line on a timing Pattern, New England rookie defender-Malcolm Butler-obviously knew was coming. INT by Wilson to end/lose the game. Like Tony Tiger would say; "That's Great"!
  10. Not saying Sherman's not a great player. But Sherman is probably 3rd or 4th best player on that defense this year. Cam's, much more irreplaceable in the Panther offense. Now, it doesn't make it right, that one guys allegedly more "replaceable", thus he can miss the game more for his child's birth. However, it would make the level of vitriol most likely situational, if one was a QB vs another good to great defender, on a team stacked with a bunch of good defenders. My Two Cents.
  11. Hopefully, Ramsdall and Shula can scheme the blocks, to allow the OL and Cam to throw to the WR's and TE's.
  12. All great pics. However, that 2nd pic of Cam pitching that ball to Barner (I think) was a thing of beauty. "We can see the whites of his eyes", and expression. Lol
  13. See Haters/Naysayers, you gotta have faith (mistakes and all)!! But this team is growing up. You can't always be perfect and win in the NFL my friends.
  14. Panthers Win, Panthers Win, Panthers Win (like the Giants, back in the day)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Kaepernick is horrible, and Panthers Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. How many times has Ron Ron/The Panthers (defense) been in this situation?? Geesh!
  17. Come on Ron, don't screw it up. Let Cam and the offense show the "Winner Within". You can't count on a 1 or 3 pt victory in this game (whether it ultimately comes or not).
  18. Don't play for the FG Ron Ron. It's always there when you need it.
  19. See, you gotta persevere Panthers fans, defense, offense. Now go to work!! It's okay to win ugly (or pretty after an ugly start)!!
  20. The Announcer Jinx. Man I hate that guy. Panthers, just gotta hang in there!! They can win this!!
  21. Good sportsman ship by Tolbert, and glad he got up.
