  1. I did nothing but lift weights for about two years and just got sick of it. Been doing nothing but cardio and core since Feb. 1st and I'm in the best shape of my life. The best part is that I've lost no muscle mass in the process I've only shed fat.
  2. Pace has a lot to do with it. Really its just slowly building up distance training. Your heart and lungs just become more efficient. 4 months ago I couldn't even run a mile.
  3. I ran 10 miles yesterday. I saw God around mile 9.
  4. 8 mph is hauling. About 6.8 is the fastest I'll do for any long distances.
  5. I ran in a 10k this weekend. Finished with my best 10k time so far so I was happy afterwards. I looked down to my left after about 2 miles and there was a 7 year old girl running stride for stride with me. I started dying laughing.

  7. I started running 3 1/2 months ago. I wrecked my knees in the beginning so bad I could barely walk. At one point I had no choice but to take 8 days off. Saturday I'll be running my 4th 10k with my longest run being 8 miles. I'm just now to the point where I'm running with little or no pain. Just be sure to take it slow and concentrate on how long you are running not how fast.
  8. I ran 17 miles this week. Now I'm already wondering how many I can go for next week.
  9. Yeah reminds me of that video where the guy is doing it strapped to his junk. Ran 3.5 miles today on asphalt in 90 degree heat with hills. I think I lost 5lbs of sweat. I may have to learn to start running in the mornings cause that sucked.
  10. I ran 7.2 miles this weekend and it didn't hurt. It was really the best running I've done so far. I just started 3 months ago.
  11. It just provides the reps for you to do with a timer in between sets. I think it took about 25 minutes to complete yesterdays workout. It will start you off doing like 5 sets of 5 or so and just keeps increasing the amount you do until you get up to 200 in a workout.
  12. I got this app I'm doing. I'm up to 185 sit ups that I knocked out yesterday. It makes all other exercises much easier.
  13. I did 175 sit ups today and 100 push ups. I ran 4.6 miles this weekend. I have this fancy gym membership and every workout I've done this year could have been done without it. I'm in the best shape of my life.
  14. I don't shave but I have to do some serious manscaping about once a month. It's just personal prefrence no different than some people shave their face every day and some don't.
  15. Let's all get together, lather ourselves up and have a shaving party. You do my back I'll do yours. Nothing gay about that. Buffalo Bill will warm up to the idea when he sees all the fun were having.
  16. I just got done with an 8 mile run. I think I'm going to try for 10 next weekend.

  18. I love it when overweight people ask me why I work out so much and eat healty. They say "but you don't need to lose weight". Yeah I know thats because I watch what I eat and exercise.

  20. This is one of the few internet gems I've managed to avoid over the years. I've never googled it and never will.
  21. My run today: 10K 1hr 6mins The farthest I've ever run in my life. I just need to work on my time now.
  22. I picked up one of these gps watches last weekend. Finally got out for a run yesterday and had my longest run to date of 5 miles. Holy crap my speed suffered big time. There is a big difference running outdoors compared to a treadmill.
  23. My run today. 6.2 mph 40 mins 4.13 miles 6.65 km It sucked every step of the way.
