  1. I swear to god every time we come up against a good receiver Evero refuses to let Horn follow them.
  2. fug the refs. That roughing the passer call was pure BS.
  3. Not sure what's worse, a beat writer not having any idea about it or a beat writer having actually written about it and then completely forgetting. I wouldn't be surprised if he's using ChatGPT to generate most of the crap he writes.
  4. He threw a couple of touchdowns and made big throws at important moments. Obviously Dowdle was a big part in the come back but so was the QB. Whether we think he's the guy or not to say he should be benched after that game is silly and no, there isn't an organisation in the NFL who would bench him after that game.
  5. He played bad in that first quarter, but you can't bench him after leading the team to a win after being 17-0 down.
  6. We should be leaning on Dowdle and Chuba for the rest of the season. The new double trouble.
  7. Aside from the fact it was a crappy throw, he was throwing into triple coverage. This guy is just complete garbage at this point. Get him gone.
  8. He's in his third year. This sort of crap is what you'd expect from a 1st year QB. He hasn't built on the final few games of last season and he's as bad as he was for the first part of 2024. They need to start thinking about what QB they want in next year's draft.
  9. He's not going to be fired before he gets a chance with his own QB. Bryce and Evero will be gone at some point this season/off-season and Canales will get one more year with a new QB and DC.
  10. So let's take a look at the first half and compare to last year. - Still cut up in the run game - Still missing tackles - Still dropping catches Same poo different day.
  11. These guys whiffing on tackles again just like last year. Get rid of all the defensive staff.
  12. There will probably be a run on rushers early in the second round so the question is if they trade up or not. If they do it's probably best to do it before the run starts and have their choice of all of them, rather than panic trade when there's one or two left.
  13. A smokescreen in order to draft someone (Williams) nobody in the top 10 is going to touch. That's not really how smokescreens work.
  14. The moving up/down talk always goes crazy the closer it gets to the draft because it's the most interesting thing to talk about for the media heads. Once it gets to draft night none of these moves end up happening. I'd say the odds are still heavily in favour of us picking at 8.
  15. All depends on who they trade with. If it was with the Bears as is speculated from Joe Person then it's only moving down two spots, so you probably would only get their 3rd rounder and would likely have to give them some day 3 picks. Or swap 1st/2nd rounders and give them a day 3 pick. I don't think they're going to get a second rounder unless they trade into the lower half of the 1st round, but it seems like most of the movement is from teams around them. In that case the trades are likely going to be mediocre.
  16. As I said in another thread, you can pretty much guarantee they'll package some picks to move back up if they move down. So they won't be drafting more guys, just drafting more of the top 100 talent. We will probably get a late second rounder to move down in the first and then package a 3rd and one of the 4ths to move back into the end of the 2nd round to have three 2nd round picks.
  17. With all due respect to Verge and her sources, there's too many people (those in the media who would actually have a clue) saying Walker is the guy for me to believe any talk of Williams being the preferred choice. Maybe if their absolute goal is to trade down then I can buy it, but I don't think that is in any way linked to creating a smokescreen around Walker. Nobody in the top 8 is going to draft Williams so why create smoke around Walker to blow them off the scent? My personal reading of the situation surrounding our first pick would be as follows Option 1 - Draft someone not expected to fall (Graham) Option 2 - Receive a good deal to trade down Option 3 - Jalon Walker
  18. I think the only thing that throws a spanner in the works is if Graham falls to us, which seems a distinct possibility at this point.
  19. I think if they trade down there's a high chance they trade back up into the second or third. That's why I'm not really fussed about trying to trade down and get more picks because they'll most likely be used to move around on day 2.
  20. They're probably looking at his RAS scores every day and salivating. The nightmare early pick.
  21. You can't be serious about improving the defense and then offer a guy a contract who just had his worst season ever. I hope they get a deal sorted with Blackmon.
  22. They have more control over what they do in free agency. The draft can throw up any number of outcomes in terms of what position gets drafted the most/earliest. If lots of DL come off the board between 8 and 57 they leave themselves needing to use assets to trade up or missing out on all the good prospects.
