    You can't be serious about improving the defense and then offer a guy a contract who just had his worst season ever. I hope they get a deal sorted with Blackmon.

    They have more control over what they do in free agency. The draft can throw up any number of outcomes in terms of what position gets drafted the most/earliest. If lots of DL come off the board between 8 and 57 they leave themselves needing to use assets to trade up or missing out on all the good prospects.

    The roster is in desperate need of another WR that's for sure, although I could still see them adding one in free agency so I'm not sold on them drafting one early.

    I think i would still go Graham if he's there, second preference being the top WR and after that trade down. Im not convinced by any of the pass rushers (the ones that will be left on the board) to be drafting them at 8.

    Other teams are trying to get in on the deal according to Dianna Russini. Not a good sign. They probably jumped the gun and he'll end up elsewhere.

    It's a lot, but I suppose at some point we were going to have to start paying our best players instead of trading them away for nothing.

    I feel like this Horn situation is going the same way as Burns, meaning a player expecting top of the market money when they're not really worth it. They might be better off using that money on pass rushers in FA and use 8 to draft a CB.

    Ranked 63rd in pressures, with 30 for the season. Seems to be solid in defending the run but we need pressure from our OLB.

    Or they'll be looking at the cap in future years and work something out? I mean it wouldn't be hard to give him a big signing bonus to lower the cap hit in the first year.
