Rbs are notorious for breaking down after they sign second contracts. They just take too many hits. We should’ve never given him that contract so soon. He’d be playing under his 5th year option right now. Cam signed his contract the off-season before he took us to the super bowl.

I think the difference is we had one of the greatest short yard qbs in the game and Rivera still wouldn’t use him in situations where it was needed to be aggressive. This honestly feels a lot like 2013 except our offense doesn’t have a dynamic qb and we’re trying to be methodical on offense because our defense has been dominant just like 2013. We’re leaning on our defense because it’s our best unit far and away. That’s not scapegoating rhules comments. It’s bullshit but that’s the direction the team is going this year.

That’s been said multiple times by people on different drafts and some drafts people says is the best of all time and they’ve been flops. if it’s me I’m running to the podium to draft the liberty qb or if a high quality qb in the mold of Stafford or RW becomes available I’m trading for him.

You’re right. I looked at a site that ranked them #19 overall after 5 games and figured since we couldn’t do poo against them they were worse before this week. Anyway there still not a top tier defense overall. And are one of the most penalized defenses in the league.

Pressures are subjective because they can be linked to qbs not processing quickly enough. Sam said so himself. He’s holding the ball too long. This isn’t absolving the oline. They are abysmal a lot. But yesterday was a combo of shitty line play, a qb holding the ball too long, missing wide open players, unable to connect on deep passes and a qb throwing picks in clean pockets right to defenders. I don’t get the look what Mahomes did in the Super Bowl analogy. Elite qbs win this game even with this line. We need to be looking at upgrading the line and qb this off-season.

You’re trying to compare the Eagles defense this year to the Bucs defense last year. This oline isn’t adequate but plopping Mahomes on this roster yesterday and he would’ve torched them. Sam is not a good qb. He can be serviceable and game manager esque under certain conditions with a few wow throws but Mahomes gets this game in between the ears, processes quickly and has pin point precision on deep passes. All things Sam lacks for the most part. This isn’t to say our oline shouldn’t be upgraded. But elite qbs win games yesterday like this even with this line.

Sam played the Eagles that has one of the worst defenses in the league (theyre #19 as of now because our offense sucked yesterday) Mahomes was doing that against one of the best defenses in the league that year in the most important game of players lives. Are you trying to say Mahomes wouldn’t have beat the absolute poo out of this Eagles defense even with this line? Because that is laughable. Dude literally said IF Sam doesn’t get it together. And it’s true. Rhule has passed on qbs in the draft in favor of Teddy bridgewater and Sam Darnold. One didn’t work out after one year of a 3 year deal and Sam just regressed majorly this past game. They need to get him back on track because if he doesn’t those seats are gonna get hot going into next year. If Sam doesn’t and we roll with him next year without other options there is a strong possibility that Rhule’s tenure will end in Carolina within the next two years. That will be 2023/2024. If I had to make a bold prediction; if we fail to make the playoffs next season you will see Rhule resigning and taking a college job lol
