Agreed. But like they had to make sure Sam couldn’t do it. Giants game was the death nail. 1-5 team out major starters. And Sam was fuging horrible. That was it for the staff imo. Why you heard all the stuff heating up about Watson. Then this game they took the ball out of his hands. They know he’s not it.

I agree they should’ve taken the ball out of sam’s hands earlier. But we’re not gonna win a lot of games like this 13/24 for 129 yards 0 sacks against one of the worst defenses in the league lol. Sam is terrible. I get still trying to get him going because we’re fuged if he can’t. Well they finally figured out after the giants game that he really fuging can’t lol.

All I’m saying is they literally took the ball out of darnold’s hands. So yeah Brady should’ve done that earlier but that doesn’t make him a bad coach or fireable lol.

Yeah I remember when we played the #1 scoring offense in the league. And were up 15-14 at the half and kept them in check and then Darnold imploded and threw 2 picks and we unraveled. Definitely but what we did today is not sustainable. In that 4th quarter drive we ran it 8 times and 1 pass (to a rb) because the coaches were terrified of Darnold fuging up against one of the worst defenses in the league. That’s just not sustainable against good teams.

Try that against teams that aren’t the worst defenses in the league and see what happens

They don’t need them to play ball control. They need them to not turn the ball over in horrible situations and go 3 and out consistently. Need adequate rest.

It is nitpicky and reactionary. If we had a competent offense the defense would be a lot better than they are in certain moments.

He’s opting for that because Sam is horrible and we need first downs to keep the defense fresh.

You mean when Sam threw 2 picks in the 3rd quarter against Dallas. When we kept them to 14 points in the first half? Again this offense is killing the defense. you cannot expect a defense to be on the field this long and perform. The best defenses in history didn’t have offenses that were this bad. we’ll see how they play against top offenses but I’m expecting our offense to be horrible and continue putting us in bad spots.

We have the 3rd ranked total defense in the league. 7th in points allowed per game and this is with an offense that is horrificly bad and putting our defense in short fields from turnovers and 3 and outs. We have the pieces of a Super Bowl caliber defense. It’s why the GM made moves like we were a playoff team. And then Darnold imploded. This fanbase is reactionary from drive to drive.

It is elite. We’re 3rd in the league. And we have tons of injuries. This fanbase is insanely reactionary.
