I’m not worried either. It was both earlier in their careers and looks like we got some steals based on where they were drafted. that’s basically what fits said. They were young kids and we all do stupid stuff. So the staff is aware and must’ve not been a big deal. But I read the Iowa DT was completely taken off some teams boards. No idea the truth to that.

He got in trouble his freshman or sophomore year I think and actually got suspended and missed games at Alabama. Guy from Iowa had off the field issues too involving a dorm room incident years ago. Didn’t know anything about shi.

For sure. I’m not as optimistic as some with darnold. They’re gonna be situations like last year where darnold needs to make a play to win games. I still think he’s gonna have a career year here because of Brady’s system and our weapons but that’s not saying too much. the likely scenario that I’ve said before is we keep building this team up and draft a qb next year or the year after. 2023 is the pivotal year for this staff imo.

I think it’s because corner is one of the hardest positions to get instant impact on the team. And we spent a top ten pick on one. I’d stress to people to not throw this dude under the bus immediately. It’s gonna take a couple years before we really see him take off if he does at all. He’s gonna take his lumps and people will be screaming bust prematurely. He’s the most talented corner on our roster day 1 though.

I think 10-7/9-8 is our ceiling right now which is really good all things considered. Our team is still extremely young, talented but young. We keep adding talent over the next two years and if this qb situation gets taken care of whether it’s Darnold or a draft pick we’re gonna be a force in the playoffs.

If we can’t get the pass rush going against Ryan they’re gonna dunk on us all over the field. It’s just too much talent.

I think Marshall is the instant wr3. He’s already familiar with Brady’s system which is a huge thing for a rookie and he’s insanely more talented. And to add I think we’re gonna see DJ lined up in the slot more which is gonna be crazy.

The team is gonna have to try to stay on top of him with his weight but ultimately it’s gonna be up to him if he wants it. Guys this big have huge weight fluctuations that are difficult because they’re obsessed with eating. I’d hire the dude a dietician and hope for the best. I’d rather take the guy who has trouble with weight then the other guy who has blood clot issues tho.

Big guys like this have problems keeping weight down. It’s definitely something to watch. It’s not a good look that he didn’t take the senior bowl seriously but he’s a 6th round pick so I’m not sweating it.

I seriously doubt he would get picked by another team.

Yeah that’s why I figured a practice squad spot isn’t necessarily bad for him. He can be called up for spot duty if we have injuries. If he has special teams ability that will help him get a jersey on game days. Nobody should expect this guy to be a major contributor this year tho.

I’m just saying there’s gonna be a competition between those lower tier guys and it wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up on the practice squad or not getting much playing time. Not sure if he has any special teams ability.

Horn, donte and AJ are locks right now. Then we have Troy pride, Stanley Oliver, Melvin, Jalen, and this guy. They’re gonna be competing for a spot in training camp. So I would not be surprised to see Taylor go to the practice squad. There’s definitely gonna be a competition for those last spots.
