  1. The team is nowhere near as bad as people are claiming. We’re just young but full of talent. Year 3 for me is when it needs to be put together. The only way we should miss the playoffs in year 3 is if the qb situation is bad. And that would be on Rhule.
  2. Playoffs next year or rhule’s on the hot seat for me. This team is extremely talented we’re just young. Tons of cap space next year as well.
  3. Saints have pretty good depth. Kwon and Davenport are oft injured.
  4. Dude misses a lot of games. I think I read he averages 12 games a season. Something to think about.
  5. Name them besides the Giants one I already mentioned. Because I seriously can’t remember. The only thing I remember is gano consistently choking on PAT’s and other scenarios where we would’ve won or tied. 2018 was bad. Missed those kicks against Detroit then missed the 52 yarder against Seattle. And 2019 he was out the entire season. Missed a kick in the biggest game of his life in the super bowl and missed the 1st 2016 game against the Broncos that drastically changed our season imo. If I’m wrong I’m wrong but I seriously cannot remember clutch kicks besides the giants and vaguely remember 2 others. I get that kickers are usually judged by their recent kicks so I could have some bias. “All said and done, prior to an injury that ended his season early in week 13, Gano attempted only 16 field goals in total, missing two of them, giving him an 88% average on a fairly small sample size. That puts him squarely in the middle of the pack league-wide amongst kickers with at least 10 attempts. However, his 91% extra point percentage is bottom five in the entire league.”
  6. Gano was having yip issues towards the end then he got injured and missed an entire season. Everyone was talking about it. Missed extra points and clutch field goals. The last clutch kick I can remember was the 63 yarder against the giants. That was crazy. I’ve never said Gano was horrible or better than Slye. What I was responding to was OP saying he’s made 35 kicks or whatever straight in New York and i didn’t think he would’ve replicated that here. Kicking is a weird mental space. Most kickers need change of scenery when they start getting yips or are injured for an entire year and have a big contract. I get why we moved on. The problem is we haven’t been able to replace the kicker position with someone who is at least decent. so no I’m not talking about the 3 clutch kicks Graham made in his career here. He had issues here and some of y’all are acting like he was perfect and showing his 35 straight kicks in New York as some sort of justification.
  7. Darnold missed two easy throws in the end zone last week and fumbled in the redzone with what rhule said was a walk in td. That’s 18 points left on the board. Then we wouldn’t be talking about red zone issues. I said the same thing last year with Teddy. He was awful in the red zone. Brady has some issues but I think they’re vastly overblown.
  8. Kicking is weird. I don’t think Gano would have the same success here as he’s having in New York. Kickers seem to do much better with changes in scenery and Gano was definitely NOT clutch for us. Like Slye just made all his field goals (like 7 of them) last week after having some insane yip issues here. So bad that it got him cut.
  9. He’s a baller his problem is that he can’t stay healthy.
  10. Would be funny if we just signed him back to keep our 7th
  11. Im not really sure if this is the case. Brees was a shell of himself last year. Holding that team back. I know jameis has a history of being turnover prone but if last weeks game is indicative of his turn around with SP’s coaching then they absolutely upgraded. Gonna have to make jameis very uncomfortable in the pocket like we need to do every game, to every qb.
  12. it’s definitely coaching right now. Darnold has more arm talent than Teddy. That’s not debatable. It’s the boneheaded throws they are coaching out of him. Play smart, efficient and in control. That’s going to change at times because we’re gonna need him to play hero ball in games when we’re behind and need a big play against vastly more talented teams then the jets. If he’s still checking down in those situations we have a serious problem.
  13. And Arnold is worse at blocking than Ian. If tremble can become a pass catching tight end with his blocking ability we’ll have a lot of options. He’s just a rookie though who had hands issues in college. We’ll see. We need a guy who can do both to not tip what we’re doing to the defense.
