Fischer probably needed another year to recover or he’s completely done. Achilles need extended rehab time or the player never really recovers. Big guys and Achilles tears are bad. So I’m guessing he’s done.

Brady also had a much better arm in his prime then Mac. Mac has old Brady arm.

If we signed cam (won’t happen) he would be the best qb on the roster. Using him as a trick player would be ridiculous. Regardless of what anyone says about his shoulder and deep passes nobody on this roster can connect deep so it doesn’t matter. Cam is a smarter qb then anyone on this roster and can go through progressions and make the right reads and throws. And he could be had for cheap.

Grabbert is probably good at film study. What honestly does Darnold give to a backup role besides being a good teammate?

My point was a competent qb would have changed the direction of this season. Anyone who is holding out hope that Sam will be good should just face reality. Weren’t you a Sam fan who came over from the jets? You should go back.

You insert someone like DW or Stafford or someone who is competent and we maybe have 1 loss this year. He cannot process what is happening in front of him and he has the 7th ranked time in the pocket. He is a dumb quarterback. He’s in his 4th year and still doesn’t get it. If we don’t bring a competent qb in this off-season or in the draft rhule and fitt should be fired. This season is a wash. We’ll try and rush and play defense for wins but if we rely on Sam for a game we’ll more than likely lose.

I know you’re gonna do this thing because you said something very dumb in the game day thread about this defense because you got emotional. This defense is elite. That offense we went up against is statistically better than the Bucs, rams, chiefs, ect. The #1 offense in the league. No defense is going to hold them. Darnolds two picks unraveled that game. Remember that 2013 Seattle historical defense? They gave up 34 points in a game to the colts offense that year. Sometimes elite defenses give up points. Doesn’t mean they aren’t elite. That’s why I call this fanbase insanely reactionary. They expect perfection or they aren’t that good. we will see how they do against the top offenses but I’m expecting our offense to be so inept that it will fug over this elite defense. Also I don’t trust anyone’s opinion who says “Darnold was better than his stat line showed today.”
